Agree with Vicki. Squeezing the skin only causes more trauma, inflammation, and damage to the skin, which can ultimately make things worse. This person also using a scalpel is not recommended with cystic acne (except as a last resort, you can't get it out by any other means) because opening up the cyst spreads the bacteria around allowing it to spread and make more cysts.

@z3phyr_us5 ай бұрын
@@AshenKnight1that's mostly true, but she's being overkill with a lot of the non-cyst ones and using too much pressure on them when it really isn't necessary, which is very likely to bruise the patient. cyst walls often won't come out just with pressure either, but a surgical incision, preferrably without rupturing it. these aren't cysts, but if they were, this wouldn't be how to properly handle them i reccomend checking out mrpopzit or dr.pimple popper for those, since they explain the process rather well while showing it

This looks so much worse for now but by releasing the infected material, the skin will start to heal. Poor bloke
@tinacirson43313 жыл бұрын
That’s not how infection and healing work. All she is doin g by repeated squeezing blood out is causing major tissue damage and swelling which in turn increases the risk of infection. Also if she was so focussed on infection, why is she repeatedly cross infecting lesions with the same tool each time? Where’s the sterile/aseptic technique?
@tinaisufi92443 жыл бұрын
I hear what you're saying Tina but I think we have to put things into perspective a little bit. The aseptic technique is not realistic when dealing with so many infected cystic acne. You'd need 50 scalpel blades and hundreds of gauze/cotton wool wipes. They simply cannot afford to do this in Vietnam. From what I've seen in Thuy Truong's videos the best nod to that technique is that she uses cotton buds occasionally now on individual areas. I think it's frustrating to us in the Western world to see practices that are so alien to ours but I've tried to adapt my thinking to their limitations. These ladies do what they can to help mainly young people suffering from usual teenage spots to chloracne. I've followed Thuy for over a year and she's had many major success stories using her radical treatment methods. That said, in the UK you'd be arrested for assault or wounding with a deadly weapon if you poked a scalpel blade into somebody's face and neck without a medical qualification. Not to mention that no personal liability insurance would ever cover a claim if anything went wrong. Lol. We just have to accept that what the videos show is allowed in Vietnam. 🤗🙂

Back when Thuy could get all that infected blood, sebum and gelatinous contents out of there. Fantastic!! And a perfect example of how the cystic acne is all connected underneath. When you start, first use a cleanser like Hibiclens to wash the skin. When you finish squeezing out all the pus and gunk you should wash the area liberally with Hydrogen Peroxide. The peroxide will kill the bacterial infection, clean out the pores with the bubbling action of the hydrogen and dry out the pores. Using peroxide regularly will stop the infection and clear it up.
