Amazing that animals that are solitary in the wild can tolerate being near so many others if their species - but then their lives up until rescue have been anything but normal. It's wonderful that they can enjoy open air and bathing and a nutritious diet.

When i think about how many awful suffers these creatures had to endure in their life, then i feel so sad and powerless. But, suddenly, i see that..and immediately a little hope lights up my heart and a tear of joy makes me aware that a kinder World is possible if we want it❤️ Thank you AA Boys, thank you Jill and to the celebrities which use their wealth and their public imagine for giving to these creatures a brighter future🙏

You can't help but watch this with tears in your eyes, all the terrible lives they had, but now so free to do what bears should do. Such beautiful peaceful animals, play fighting and lazing in their pool, loved how they hold their back paw whilst sitting in the pool. I watch the play and ponder about how many of those muscles start off sore as they are brought back into use. Yes there would be some atrophy over the decades of small cages, does any elasticity return? Would there be opportunity for complete recovery? My sadness is that these animals have had the wilderness life stolen from them. You do wonderful work. Thank you. 😂😂😂

Great observation, Sandi, and you're absolutley right. Can you imagine not being able to even turn around for 20 years, or stretch your arms above your head? So yes, their muscles are so weak and it can take months or years of bear physiotherapy to get their strength back. Some don't recover so we make adjustments in their enclosures and dens, but with most of them through fun activities, they gain use of their bodies again ❤️

Hi Pat, great idea! Yes our carers do this, bring in turf and soil from the enclosure to get them used to the texture and smell.
