I’m watching this at 4 am so I could be off. Your old bed didn’t seem gold but was very light stained wood. It would give of a gold appearance. Then I thought you meant brass but no again. I love the canopy bed. It looks amazing.👍👍👍

Yes, I have to say it - your "before" bedroom was not the height of design, look like a 19 year old's freshman college dorm room. But I fully agree with your decision to hold on to the gold bed, because you never know when you may need another bed frame and the design is simple and classic. I am also a fan of gold (or brass finish) myself. I like a bit of glitz and glam (but not too much) and nothing says it more than a beautiful gold colored or brass finish something (or some things) in a room. I appreciate that you were working in what appears to be a smaller regular sized bedroom like many have in apartments and those of us who live in older homes where a "large" bedroom is 10 x 12. You have an en suite - how wonderful! A pet peeve: Putting stuff above your head when you're laying in bed, especially stuff that is not firmly attached to a wall or a shelf with nails, screws or really strong (and a lot of) sticky tape. I also am not a fan of the green throw and the sort of reddish clay colored throw pillows. Your new canopy bed is a timeless design that will look good forever. Well done.
