You’ll notice there is a door he has open to watch the rain outside. It’s the rolled up flap on the left. I would dig trenches around tent to divert runoff water from getting into tent. I’d also use second tarp for cover where you can sit and also cook. Please take me with you!!!😊

Tarps are needed in the way you are using yours and another one to give you an outdoor dry spot to hangout during the day and most importantly a place to eat , depending where you are the last thing you want to do is eat in your tent.

Next time in the rain, try this! Your fly is water proof already,spray your tent as well! Take the tarp that you have and overlap and attacht it over the entrance/door area in an angle like a lean and or vestibule/ touching the ground! ........[[[[[[[[×]___._/ tent,tarp-pole Good luck!
