Thank you so very much for this video. I am nursing my sick Silkie rooster Wookiee. Sadly he has Wry neck and is in my second week of me treating him. He is not showing much signs of improvement, a little bit not much and he had started to loose interest in food. Thank goodness I found your video, because as soon as I played it for him,he was eating and drinking again! He makes happy purring sounds back to yours, and looks for a treat when they make their excited “Ohh look a treat!” sounds. I play it over and over for him. I’m sure hoping that he will recover. I love your channel, helpful advice and wonderful videos. I am a happy subscriber. Thanks again for all you do. 🙏🥰

I love the noises silkies make - it's different to other chickens. Quieter and higher-pitched.

Thanks so much for this video, it's the longest silkie sounds one I can find on you tube, I've been playing it to my sick silkie that was bitten by a dog 7 days ago, she's not eating but thankfully I can at least feed her watered down egg yolk. She responds and chats back to the video, I think it's good company for her while she's stuck inside in the sick bay with me. So thanks heaps on behalf of my sick chick! X

I'm currently treating a hen with wry neck and I play this for her. She "talks" back. I think it helps since I have her inside with me. ❤

Hi, could you perhaps make another 'sound' video? My 9 year old silkie is alone (only one left from the flock...) and loves it!!

Great idea! I have had a few people say they play it for their housebound silkies. I will definitely put it on my list and maybe have it be a little longer. :)

I have just recently gotten silkies, one hen and one rooster. But I have a question if my hen lays a fertilized egg, will she lay on it even when she’s not broody?
@birchmoonfarm1013 жыл бұрын
No, but having some eggs lying there can sometimes trigger broody.
