The quality of this watercolor paint from this brand is astonishing! I have a few tubes from pre-2018 and just got this small set you are showing and I did some comparisons with all the other brands I own (wasn’t expecting anything) and Maimeri outperforms all of them. This includes Winsor Newton, Daniel smith, m Graham, Holbein, mission gold, Sennelier and even Schmincke

I haven’t tried the other brands (I won this from a giveaway) but would love to compare. I honestly only look for how pigmented they are, transparency and chalkiness because those are the main factors affecting my style of painting 😊

First to comment! Try freezing your paints for a few mins; that might decrease the stickiness of the paint and so the paper might not stick.

Ooh thanks for the tip! ♥️ I live in quite a dry climate though and have never experienced this. I also saw in another person’s unboxing that the paper also stuck 🤔

What an odd selection of colors! And the ultramarine didn't look right! I want to try this brand, but the sets are strange.

I kind of have to agree with the selection of colours. There isn't any colour with 'pink' and you can't mix it from these shades either and I always use some sort of pink in my works. The green earth colour was very 'waxy' and didn't pick up pigment... I haven't really researched the other sets (just won this from a giveaway).

@@BlissOfColours There's not a lot on KZbin about this brand, but I watched videos from Frugal Crafter and Eve Bolt that both got sets with similar colors, slightly different to yours, but all of the sets are very strange. Very imbalanced towards earth tones and not really having proper primaries. I mean in your set here, they put in both yellow ochre and raw sienna. And then a yellow orange but no just regular yellow. And always a black. Almost seems like they are just getting rid of stuff!

@@jennw6809 I noticed the early tones too and way too many yellows and oranges in this 12 set. Perhaps the sets with more colours have a wider variety 🤷🏻‍♀ I'm still grateful to own this set but it just isn't my colour scheme for what I paint right now. Perhaps it is great for other subject matter

Maybe! But I’m not planning on buying anymore paints as I’m quite content on what I have 😁

Actually… it’s fucking annoying😂😂😂 with glue residue sticking to top of every single pan. Seriously reconsidering buying this. I’m kinda a stickler to details
