Greenhouse polycarb/polycarbonate panels can be a total pain to cut. But with this simple approach, you won't butcher these sheets with bad, rough, "shatter-cuts", nor will you have to spend an hour trying to cut these panels with a utility knife. These can be used in tiny houses, tree houses, cabins, green houses, and more!

Excellent video. Straight and to the point. I bought 3 sheets of this to put on the outside of my rabbit hutches. It’s going to be a bad winter and I’m tired of wrapping them up in tarps and keeping them in the dark. Everyone told me I was going to have problems cutting this but you made it look doable. Thank you

Another brilliant tip video. If the TV industry didn't eat people up, I'd wish that on you. You have great presence, and succinct delivery. Go get 'em.

I use a tile saw blade to cut this....it will leave a smooth edge...also you can put the blade on backwards it will cut very smooth...this is how i cut metal roofing too.

We just built a $30,000 greenhouse for a customer. I just used a regular 40 tooth diablo 7 1/4" framing blade. It cut right through nice n smooth no problem

Try putting your plywood blade on backwards on your table saw and feed through slow. Have done this for years, and cuts as clean as glass. Also works very well with melamine for cabinets. Just be careful to break the edge when done, as it is razor sharp.

Good tip- thanks- haven't tried that yet. My table saw is smallish though- so running a 4' by 8' sheet through it might be a little bit of a pain, but I'll still try it sometime.

Wow... You found a straight board over 6'... I'm more impressed by that! My only thing I would have mentioned, to use a plywood as a table, and make sure you clamp your poly down...

FYI, the blue side of the film covering the sheet is placed on the UV treated side of the sheet. This side of the sheet should face the sun after you peel off the film. Presumably, if you do it the other way around, the Sun will start to degrade the sheets used upside down.

I've heard that WD40 will remove Sharpie, I do know that isopropyl rubbing alcohol will remove it. I use it (isopropyl) in my work a lot for cleaning soldering flux. Linda and I send our best.

I don't know what he's talking about with "shatter cuts". Polycarbonate doesn't do that in my experience. Acrylic (plexiglas) is one that will shatter. You should use carbide blades for either one though.
