“Flow” is a nice other way to talk about being in receiving versus chasing energy. I was SO in my chasing energy before learning about feminine energy. I try hard to stay in my feminine energy with my male partner, and then my female friendships feel like an indulgence and I get to be a little bit more in my masculine energy. But, what I’ve learned from feminine energy still informs how I move in friendship now. “Flow” can be all in your receiving energy, or having a little bit of chase to start, but moving on if it’s not working.

i just think about how my relationships improved and i had less anxiety about friendships when i released control and embraced 'love without control' concept.. i'm sure it's gonna work the same when i work on it towards myself!

Going into this I didn't think this would apply to where I'm at right now because I'm in a space of trying to build and exert energy. I wanted to give a listen anyway since I like your perspective on things. I think that I came out of this feeling like the times that I want to do something but I don't, it's not because I need to try harder or get more energy, it's because I'm scared of the outcome. If I stay in bed instead of go to the gym, it's not because I don't want to go to the gym. I love showing up for myself and getting new experiences. One time, I didn't feel like doing anything so I just went up and got there without any idea of a plan (I have newbie gym anxiety). I ended up jogging around the track and realizing I liked it a lot! I was just wanting to have the perfect circumstances and perfect plan that I lost sight of giving in to a whim to explore and discover. I want to foster that kind of energy in my life. Thanks for this vid.

Im in my early 20s and so im experiencing the same things. Im in survival mode, and i try to keep myself safe by taking control. it keeps me from depending on people who i know wont be able to help me through tough circumstances. This is tough tho because it makes me not trust that anyone can help me. It makes relationships hard :( and the anxiety keeps me up some nights

I'm at the beginning of the video but I just noticed something. Why do you refer to controlling energy as "masculine" energy? Isn't that a harmful stereotype to ascribe being strong willed to being a trait of men and not women? I love your vids, don't take this as an attack I just want to understand your perspective
@theglowupsecretspodcast2 күн бұрын
No because I don’t attach or prescribed to the idea that masculine energy is for men and feminine is for women. they’re simply expressions of how we move through life and in my opinion both men & women carry such energies. when speaking on “controlling energy” it typically “looks and manifests” as masculine energy which is the expression of “go go go”. Also, I don’t look at masculine energy as inherently bad, it’s moreso when overused or underdeveloped. It’s helpful for me to understand myself and the world better by sometimes using wording like this. Not to be taken out of that context though!

literally in tears as you spoke about your childhood trauma. ❤️🩹 similarly, i’m navigating through letting go of control in my life right now. this was meant to be, so thank you.
