I think what you forgot to mention is the most fun about doing practice manually is that they can destroy the car while if you use simulator they don't destroy anything. I'm glad I found it hard way. 90% setup satisfaction or 100% no diff. Albon destroying two cars in p1 and p3 with never defend never attack avoid kerbs drive in clean air don't fight team mate made me never run practice in manual ever again. My personal advice run Sim, tweak whatever AI setup gives you as close to the middle or try left/right a little bit and stay at 90% plus.

Thanks for the video! For the upcoming Qualifying video, could you also please go over the benefits or lack of running the drivers with Manual vs Automatic when we send the cars out for their laps?

The benefit of running manual contrl you can set your driving to aggressive on the outlap and it brings the tyres up to temp at the start of the flying lap just remember to change to max just before the last cnr before the start finish straight also hit the max fuel a bit earlier to burn a bit off for weight reduction not to early as you will run out fuel on cooldown and hit max use of your energy before the last cnr so it kicks in at the start of the straight for max speed at the start line Hope this makes sense tried to explain it in the simplest terms

You dont have to run a full 40 lap stint at the start to get 100% acclimatisation i go 20 lap first stint that is enough to get the 5 feedbacks( usually between 15-20 laps ) then i go the left over which is almost always about 40 mins left minus the time to readjust your setup Do this every 3 practices you will have enough time on track to get the 100% trackk acclimatisation and gives you basically 6 attempts to get 100% optimisation setup Also the tyre combo i use is as below since you have to discard 2 sets after each practice session P1 medium then hard P2 soft then medium P3 soft then soft This does change during sprint rounds

Your using more powertrain doing all 3 sessions.
@xytesk9312

@@asambi69 most times i am 95 - 100% setup in p2 and 100% track assimilation within a few laps of p3 so i do call my drivers in as early as possible so as to save the power train Also if you use low fuel consumption and no kerb and no dirty air trick in practice you do make a season without buying extra(most times anyways 😉)

Is it worth getting 100% track acclimitisation? Or is there a sweet spot % where you don't lose out and can save some engine wear?.
@xytesk9312

You can only hit 100% confidence if you have 100% assimilation

i feel like when i enable high risk kerbs and clean air my drivers dont crash in the practice but they crash in the race.

Your drivers wrecking the car often is not something you can really control, you can tune down risk in races, you can focus break cooling, but generally it is mostly just down to luck.

How can you save 2 mediums?
@NeroBax
@NeroBax Жыл бұрын
Don't use mediums during practice. Need to take manual control, after each practice session 2 sets of dry tires gets returned, mainly the used ones so you want to use 2 sets each session to control it.
