The city has invested Rs 8,800 crore on land and infrastructure for its first phase and has obtained licenses for 1900 acres. The residential plots offered by the project range from 75 square yards to 180 square yards.
MET City has been developed by Model Economic Township Limited (METL), a 100 percent subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited. The company said in a release that its infrastructure is on par with global standards and offers customers a 'Walk to Work' advantage.
Four Japanese companies - Nihon Kohden, Panasonic, Denso, and T-Suzuki - have set up their respective facilities in the Model Economic Township Limited (MET City)
