Thanks, these are lovely little engines to work on and also very forgiving. I do have a slight advantage as I worked on a few of these but that was over thirty years ago. But proof will be in the first start... Edited for my bad spilling...

Front pulley needs fitting before tightening the cover bolts to try and get the seal aligned somewhat. If you were going to be accurate about it you would make a sleeve with an OD the same as the seal and an ID the same as the pulley to align the cover before even fitting the seal. Why reliant didn't bother with alignment dowels like they have on the gearbox end seal cover is beyond me 🤷. If you did make a spacer for initial alignment you could bore a couple of the bolt holes out for dowels to ensure the cover goes back on perfectly aligned every time.
