But how does it look on a video file? Seems to work amazing on this static shot, but it would be interesting to see how it performs on a video and when the subject is moving. It seems like every youtubevideo that shows the Relight tool are using static shots, but I guess people are going to use this on videos, no? Is the static shot illustration because it doesn't perform well on video?

You need a hell of a computer with lots of processor power. I have a Mac Pro with 1.5 GB intern memory and a ProRes accelerator...and you still have to work on a static shot and render in place.

If more tutorials were as concise as this, i would've finaly understood how the Fusion Tab works. If you make something similar but for the Fusion tab, im all in.

This is awesome. I used to fix my underexposed shots by using the global (increase) and light (decrease to counteract overblown highlights) exposure HDR sliders which works pretty well but of course is kind of a hack. This though seems perfect for that. Seems every update DaVinci solves the problems I am having.

Useful! When I saw this was only 3:14 I didn't think it would get sufficiently in-depth. Was surprised to be able to glean just about everything I needed from it. Even left me time to comment. :) The feature is definitely game-changing for some, but I wonder how many updates away we are from having the eye catchlights match the direction of the light source.

The Rec 7099 A solves a wierd problem with lowered contrast after export that Mac users are experiencing. For me personally, all my videos were washed out after exporting from resolve and the Rec 709 A output setting solved the problem so my videos look the same after exporting as they do in the project 👍

This is mind blowing. I presume the AI being used will just get better and better. To wear you can shoot with even lighting, and make your lighting adjustments in post. Both for action and non action. Granted that's taking a lot of render power. Maybe Davinci will try to create some rendering power like Unread 5 and make a 3d version of the talent on screen that mimics facial expressions and body movement. Clothing is different though. I'm making a prediction.... Here it is. AI and Post production will get so advanced that the only thing you need to bring to set is a camera and a microphone. I think if Arri, Aputure, and other light companies can somehow learn to integrate post and AI into their systems, there may be a new long term business venture for them. Like AI artificial lights in post that behave light their real life counter parts.

This is amazing but at the same time still artificial light, as the point surce do not modify the shadows, is only a mask with gama up, im wondering depends totally on the file capabilities to create “light” i know im sound pesimist but i didnt, this is mind blowing, but as AI is creating pixels from interpretation i tought that this reñight effect will interpret shadows and reflect on the file as well. Very happy tho with this integration and really nice tutorial, thank you for the quick class very well explained

I thought I was the only one only seeing a power window moving around? I couldn't see any cool depth-information being created using cool AI-algorithms that would control the light fall-off towards the background in a correct way, or skin reflections or shadows or anything? What more than a simple, feathered power window is this? I have not have the time to try it out my self, so please don't take my grumpy comment too seriously. But it's just my initial thoughts seeing this tutorial, and if I totally missed the magic, then the otherwise nice tutorial could be improved even further.
