@@Albaaaa05 I think that’s pretty straightforward. Judaism is not a religion whose members are obsessed with what will happen to them after they die. Sometimes we talk about it, some of our scholars have written books on that topic but on a daily basis, we don't pray because we hope to go to Heaven as a reward. We do it because we love G-d and we know He loves us back. And also because we know that everyone, no matter what their beliefs (or non-beliefs) will end up in Heaven. In Christianity and Islam, the afterlife is rather simple: either Hell or Heaven, with a passage through Purgatory for the Catholics (if I'm not mistaken). In Judaism, it's kind of more complicated. I know that many Jews don’t agree on this, but all our texts talk about reincarnation, for example. And what you might call Hell is actually more a kind of purification of the soul, an emptiness one undergo when they gradually become aware that nothing exists apart from G-d. Basically. 😅

I was born in a family that didn’t practice religion, although my father’s family is catholic. So for me, I have kind of a blank canvass with which to look at this world and make my own mind up about what I believe. Religion is taught. People are taught to believe in their bibles. That is why if there is a god and there is a heaven, it would make no sense that only a particular group of people get to go there. Because 99% of Jews come from Jewish parents. 99% of Christian’s have Christian parents. Same with Muslims, evangelists, etc… So it would literally mean that if you aren’t born to Jewish parents or Christian parents or whatever other religion claims to be the only correct one, then your destiny would be hell the moment you’re born into the wrong family. What kind of God would do that?

My Grandfather was one of the most gentle and understanding men I have ever known. I am 71; I look to God and I am a non-Jewish free-thinker; tolerance is a star within that belief-frame of mine. I follow rules and so many of those rules are found within the Talmud; they are the base-lines to other associated religions and also atheism so very, very often that the primary Hebrew sources must be very, very valid too. If you argue that Judaism is based upon pagan earlier religions, well, all of us are pagan without tolerance. There is no similarity. Christianity actually overcomes Jewish racialism, in the name of universal values.

The main divider is the prohibition of idolatry, which depending on how you define it, means that many gentiles will not make it to the world to come. But god is the ultimate judge.

@@riggingpots3453 You're very wrong on both accounts. Here is some evidence for what I said: Righteous gentiles have a place in the world to come. (Maimonides, Mishneh Torah, Hilchot Teshuvah 3:4 based on Tosefta Sanhedrin 13:1; Talmud Sanhedrin 105a) It says (Job 37:23): "With justice and an a bundance of kindness, He does not deal harshly." G-d does not withhold reward from gentiles who perform His commandments. (Jerusalem Talmud Peah 1:1) (Leviticus 18:5) "Which man shall carry out and by which he shall live." Rabbi Yirmiyah would say: We see from here that even a gentile who fulfills his laws is like a [Jewish] high priest.... (Midrash Sifra, Acharei Mot 9:13) [Rabbi Akiva] would say: Beloved is man who was created in the divine image. An extra amount of love is given to him because he was created in the divine image as it says (Genesis 9:6) "For in the image of G-d He made man." As for the claim that jesus said both Jews and gentiles inherit the kingdom of heaven, that is also false. Here is the evidence for that: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. (matthew 10, 5-6) “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”...“It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.” (matthew 15, 24-26) As for the claim that christianity believes that non members go to heaven, that is also false: Jesus said, “I am the truth, the way, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me” (John 14:6) “For unless you believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins” (John 8:24) “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12, KJV) There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day. (john 12, 48) Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. (john 5, 23) But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven. (matthew 10, 33) Just in case you're wondering why jesus' teachings were rejected, it's because he blatantly contradicted scripture. Here is an example: Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (john 14, 6) vs I am the LORD, that is My name; I will not yield My glory to another, Nor My renown to idols. (Isaiah 42, 8) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (john 1, 1) vs Thus said the LORD, the King of Israel, Their Redeemer, the LORD of Hosts: I am the first and I am the last, And there is no god but Me. (Isaiah 44, 6) I and the Father are one.” (john 10, 30) vs To whom can you compare Me Or declare Me similar? To whom can you liken Me, So that we seem comparable? (Isaiah 46, 5)

@ilovenoodles74835 жыл бұрын
Enough with all the mockery in these comments! The serious answer is: yes, righteous gentiles do go to Heaven. What makes you righteous? Pray to Jesus Christ and rely on Him for the answer(s) Trust Jesus. Here is a tidbit: not every Jew is a righteous simply because they are Jewish. There is the *whole* Bible, not just the Old Testament. Jesus is God in the flesh, the One that the prophets prophesied about! Follow and obey the Lord Jesus Christ, life is good that way.

Many people are triggered about heaven having levels, but it does, just as there are seven levels of hell. There are echelons and hierarchy's, as above, so below. You may never meet your maker, but he may let you into his kingdom.

@fassbinder werner Excellent words. It's true, as God is the alpha and the omega, he is also the beginning and the end. He is morality and immorality. He is schizophrenic and disconnected from that which he creates and that which serves him. He is all encompassing, all consuming, an enveloping force of reason and confusion. The mysteries of creation will never be known, because God itself may not even know them. You are spot on with the books being legal documents and statements of jurisdiction and jurisprudence. Few people recognize these facts while acknowledging the words in "the book" as the law.

So, you have to do GOOD deeds to enter heaven. That goes against Protestant Christians because they believe ALL you need is to have "faith". Can somebody correct me if I'm wrong?

As far as I’ve read, the ideas of “levels” or sometimes “rings” of heaven are corresponding to the closest position to the one G-d and moving out from the point of G-d himself. ...like are you G-d’s right hand man or on the outskirts.

Its disturbing, but also fascinating though that they are trained when they see 'Israel' insert 'Church'. They even have a concept of 'spiritual Israel' vs actual Israel. They simply cannot see that Gd forgives sins throughout the 'Old Testament' (for them) and even after reading 'Jesus' words he never even mentions that he came to start a new religion anyways. He was literally a borderline-Mishnaic Jew but having none of the context and background they think he came to start a new faith. Its popcorn eating stuff lol.

Atheists do not believe in heaven, so why do you care so much what religions says about it. In addition, God defines what is considered good deeds and what is considered bad deeds, what you think is a good deed - does not necessarily indicate that it is a good deed. That is why God has given you 7 commandments of Noah which are the definition of good deeds. If you make them you will get heaven. Personally, I do not understand why everyone is stressed to get to heaven. I think being here in the world and serving God is the best thing that can be done. because you can CHOOSE to do good. in heaven you won't be able to choose because the truth will be clear. here the truth is hidden, and that's what makes your good deed worth.
