Best college football game I have ever seen in my life. If there were a college football playoff, this game wouldn't have counted for beans. This wasn't the national championship game, but this game had national championship implications. It kept Texas from playing in the national championship game.

If youre a Texas Tech fan, you remember the exact moment and place you were when this happened.. I was living in Dodge City, Kansas.. Our neighbors were Longhorn fans who gave me the stinkeye daily for being a Tech fan.. That night, I ran outside and started yelling "and the Victory Bells will ring".. If we never beat Texas ever again, this game would have been worth it for a lifetime! Cause they will never admit it, but this loss is the one that hurt them the most in history..

I'm an OU fan. Ou had a game against Nebraska that night. We won and went to watch the final minutes of this game in the concourse of the stadium. The whole place went crazy when Crabtree scored, and we were in another state! #Boomer

i watched this entire game when i was 17 a junior in high school i liked a lot of those Texas teams back then was mad as hell after this game cuz i knew bradford and Oklahoma would go to the title lol. My team UW Huskies were struggling bad those days so i loved Texas for some reason back then. i remember watching so many great games like this in middle school and high school ive always thought 2004-2009ish were great years of college fb

what was so amazing about that game was that Tech basically dominated the game for the longest time and then it still ended up being that close at the end. Unreal how 2 plays back to back went Tech's way for the win!!! The easiest tip drill pop up gets dropped and then Crab scores the TD.....rewatching - Texas was lucky to be in position to be close at the end, and Tech was lucky to pull it out - game for the ages!! I'm sure it still haunts Gideon a little from time to time.

Yes, yes, an exciting game and a memorable win, to be certain. I just prefer to see the whole picture. We won a key battle here, but went on to lose the war. OU beat us to a pulp three weeks later. We didn't fare much better against Ole Miss in the Cotton Bowl. Sigh. Nosiree bob, it ain't easy being a fan of Texas Tech football.
