My uncle was at this game. Bleacher seats were super cheap in those days. He didn't even know about the promotion until they announced it on 3WE while he was driving to the game. He went to get a beer when he arrived at the Stadium and gave up when he saw the lines at the taps. He ended up leaving in the third inning. He didn't like the scene. He had two problems. One, he was sober. Two, he was actually there to watch the baseball game. It wasn't a good night to be a sober baseball fan in Cleveland.

Yes this was awesome, I was 13 in Dallas listening to it all on the radio! Also heard the game Lenny Randle got a fastball by his ear, then bunted the ball toward 1st base so the pitcher would field it, and slugged him, then got slugged himself before reaching first base!!

Give a assist to Peter J Franklin and Joe Tait...i listened to Pete every night from his days at WERE to WWWE....Joe had made some comments that week before Texas came to town and Pete had a nightly tirade toward Billy Martin and the Rangers preceding that game....those 50 cent bleacher seats were the real deal, esp on doubleheader sundays! Those were the days!
