WOW!! I used my machine last night for the first time. Easy to set up, easy to get a consistent result. The machine quality is very good. So glad I went with this unit. Very pleased. Thank you!!

I agree totally with Ron Martin’s comment. Got my machine today, set things up, watched part 2 of the video series to refresh my memory on the glow method and just annealled 105 LC 5.56 cases with lovely consistent results. An awesome cost effective solution . Thanks!

I've been going back and forth between this annealing machine and the annealeez machine. I do like the hopper on the annealeez but I don't like the wheels they use and considering I wouldn't leave it unattended to cycle through the hopper anyways it kind of becomes irrelevant so I think I'm sold on the EP 2.0... Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!

If you anneal range pick-ups...sort by headstamp. Years and even scamp marks if you want. Anneal cases together in those batches. You'll find that the glow will happen at different lengths of time depending on brand. Neck thickness is a factor as well. Combine as many of those variables as possible and anneal those batches together so that the time/speed is accurate for those cases in the batch. You will reap the benefits of consistency in the sizing process.

my dad back in the 70s had a lot of 30-06 military brass which he necked down to 25-06 ,, he would stand them up in a pan of water turn the lights off and when they would glow tip them over ,, i use to shoot a lot of it ,, few times i would get a neck crack , one time it blew the floor plate open ! bad news i got shit blown in my face and eyes ,, I'm currently dissasembling them ,, I'm nor sure if it was from tipping them over into water made them hard or what ,, think ill just throw the brass out , hate throwing it out with how hard it is and costly to replace,,,, jim

I've never had any trouble doing it in a cookie sheet & water, u dont want to heat it to glowing, just to discolor it to black😊

Do you anneal before or after resizing/cleaning. I ask because the brass will expand during annealing and it may not come back to the resized condition when cooled. Alternatively, if the brass is annealed first it may possibly resize easier because it has been softened by the annealing process. Hope that makes sense.

Can I use this machine without test brass? I don’t have test brass. During these times of scarce supplies, I shoot my brass until it cracks.

Once you get the hang of it it only takes me about 5 to 10pcs and you can use them over and over. It's not that hard nor expensive to get 10 extra pcs of brass

I can only think of using this for pistol brass none of them on the market are able to get the small brass all the way out to the flame until I see this one. Totally unnecessary but I uniform the flash hole and trim them too so why not play them with the annealer too?

I personally don't anneal pistol brass unless it was a bottle neck type casing

quenching/cooling heated metal too fast reverses the annealing process and makes metal somewhat harder and brittle afterwards, like in metal forging. I just anneal using a wrench socket on an extension with my drill spinning just inside the flame hitting the shoulder and neck at an angle flowing away from the lower part of the case.
@srspammenot

Well you can’t temper without a quench so I suspect you can’t get a full anneal in iron without a long slow cool . Copper is the exact opposite according to science and I see a lot of uniformed “experts” who have never forged annealed and reforged thus testing the actual softness. Very obviously.@@TL50-r9f
