This area is a memory of the Land of Storms. The Godseeker originally hailed from that region and communed with the gods that lived there. However, the gods of the Land of Storms died by some means, and the Godseeker created the temporary tuning device to seek out Hallownest and the new gods that existed there. This specific memory occurs at some point after the gods of the Land of Storms have died, which is explained by the Godseeker's Dream Nail dialogue: "What gods, to save Us of Our silent mind?" Without gods to commune with, the Godseeker's mind is rendered 'silent'.

I felt like I was never going to finish the pantheon of the Knight so I was super excited with I did and then the pantheon of hallownest happened. It is an actual nightmare. You essentially have to beat all of the previous pantheons back to back then fight the hardest boss in the game. It's insane

Make a list of videos that you want to do tutorials (in google type in “hollow knight how to a” and write down the suggestions and go through the alphabet 3. Batch record videos (4 in one sitting) When you record always think of the viewer. Would you watch the video? Make videos no longer than they need to be. Respect people’s time 4. Edit videos when you are able 5. Get REALLY GOOD at making thumbnails Overall just provide as much value as possible to one niche or game as best as you can

I got into this place right after beating the 3rd pantheon; I had left to collect the final soul vessel shard and came back to this secret area. I just thought it was a scripted event for reaching Pantheon of the Knight.

I have an idea as to what it could mean, the pale king and the radiance both came to hallownest and its never explained why. Up until now I just assumed they happened upon it by chance, but seeing the workshop for myself I think the godseeker may have sacrificed his own shell to create a temporary godtuner (explaining his smaller, wrapped and stationary form in godhome) which lured the radiance to hallownest, then after the tuner also led the pale king to hallownest, godseeker was locked in the junk pit by one of them to avoid more wyrms showing up. This would be a very important memory to godseeker because his goal in life was to seek gods and he found 2 of them through this

I think... The Memory we're seeing is either just before or some time after they became "The Godseeker." We see them in their former homeland, the one abandoned by the "Gods of Thunder and Gods of Rain" referenced by the Weathered Mask's Journal Entry. Something happened to the gods of their land (the Land of Storms we find in a secret room). What we're seeing is the Godseeker long ago, while they were still trying to make a working Godtuner. For all we know that memory is from before their entire population was sealed away in the dreams of the one big bug that we break out of that coffin. Perhaps the Godseekers consider it a sacred memory because that was the moment their quest to find new gods began, with the creation of the first Godtuner.

so, it's either that godseeker was in the void pit at some point in his life and it scared him...her...it? so much that he's been looking for the light of the moth god since then *which explains the end scene of absolute terror that poor bug has to endure* or, godseeker isn't a limiting his..her..it's search to just 1 possible outcome of the search, and found the void lord which is why the memory is 'sacred'

This area is the place where the godseekers developed the godtuner, te devices that they use to find powerfull beings. The godseekers lost their old gods and their minds started to suffer so they had to find a way to attune with other gods.

I ended up here the first time I entered godhome after completing 4th pantheon, I was looking for pantheon of hallownest and thought maybe you had to exit and enter again to unlock it. I just assumed this was normal and was trying to dream nail the special object... This makes a lot more sense now, lol. Edit: Autocorrect screwed me over once again and turned godhome into "gosh one"

i think that after the godseekers lost their old god in the land of storms, they travelled to hallownest to find new gods using the tuning device in the memory, there’s also heavy wind in the boundaries of the howling cliffs which blocks access to beyond the kingdom. side note: ps4’s embrace the void trophy increased from 0.5% to 0.6%!

Exactly this.The key (I think) is in the word 'memory.' I think what you're visiting here is the original Godhome 'settlement.' Before the godseekers had all arrived, attuned themselves to Hallownest's gods, and built the place up into the Corinthian-style mega plaza we know it as. It was a tiny little ditch at the edge of the Cliffs, with a dinky put-together tuning device. All primitive.

This theory is a mess to read, but trust me, it's kinda okay-ish I think it's when their first gods have died so he/she (idk what it is) built the God Tuner mk. 1 out of the carcass of one of them and the resonating power in the current version is a dust made from the corpse of one of the gods to find other gods to seek refuge under.
