I don’t care what people think or say. But Dangerous is the best MJ album. It revolutionized the pop music till this day. And it plays from start to finish without any drop in quality.

Simon Paz Thriller is a great album that shook the world and did revolutionize pop music in its time. But its affects only lasted for about a decade. Dangerous on the other hand still has influences till this day on not just Pop, but also R&B and Rap. The use of extra bass, the mixing techniques, and intros.

Yung Gaucho陳㷧力 As good as The Invincible album is, you cannot deny the fact that it’s derivative of Dangerous in many ways. Go listen to them and see the similarities between many of the songs in both albums. For example Blood On The Dance Floor has so much of Remember The Time.

As far as I know, the drum machine sounds for "Remember The Time" were come from Roland R-8 Drum Machine with addon "Electronic" ROM card for additional 808 kick and snare. But R-8 mkII can also be used because it already has 808 sound included.
@MacXpert745 жыл бұрын
I don't think there is an 808 kick and snare in this song. I can't hear it. I don't own a R-8, so I don't know which samples were used, but they don't sound like any 808 samples.
@MichaelSouhoka5 жыл бұрын
@@MacXpert74 Actually there is, but only in the video version, on Michael Jackson entering dance scene with his backup dancers after he sings "Do you remember girl... On the phone, you and me... Till dawn, two three, what about us, girl!" And that 808 beat starts grooving, well of course not exactly 808, but I think the sounds had already been tweaked.
@MichaelSouhoka5 жыл бұрын
As for the R-8, the snare is from "Rimshot Snare 1", the kick is modified from one of the kick samples from the SN-R8-04 Electronic card but I forgot the sound name (sorry for this), and the toms on the fills like you heard from this video too is from R-8 tom called "Doom Tom 1", and they are all modified by using pitch, decay, and nuance on the R-8. The same samples is also used on MJ's song "Blood On The Dance Floor".
