Great video as usual ! Thank you for some great shots of the enhancements made to an already great ship. Like the fact that the designer has kept the deck 14 walkways to the edge (over the balconies beneath) keeping the heavy-footed walkers from disturbing the accommodation under that "bland" central area. The folks who book those cabins will be very thankful for that feature ! Love the way it's all been opened up and refreshed , your cabin looked great in the new colours. Thanks again , looking forward to my next cruise on her.

Thank you for pointing out the walkways may be above the balcony rather than the bed area - I hadn't thought of that!

Guessing only but it makes sense, years ago booked a balcony cabin below the promenade deck which doesn't afford such forethought. I know there are signs to discourage jogging at certain unsocial hours but no-one seems to take note or monitor. So you end up hearing those high heels clacking above as well as the thud-thud of joggers feet -not very restful. I could not imagine how bad it would be having to endure those sounds on a painted metal deck just feet above your bed :0/

Nice video. Having sailed on the ship several times I do like the new deck 14 walkway. It looks unfinished w/out teak decking but what a fantastic view that new deck offers! The new light carpeting may not last long as I would imagine they will be extremely difficult to maintain. When we first sailed on the then new QM2, our Princess Grill cabin had the original light colored carpet which had stains. On a later trip the carpet was changed to a darker color.

They are too noisy and clash with the etching on the lift mirrors. The designer has no taste.

Thanks for the upload. Having been on QM2 many times last time 10th May 16 Westbound Crossing I was very interested to see the refit.Looks good The Winter Garden conversation to Carinthia Lounge is good I always thought the Winter Garden was under used. The King's court big improvement. Did you hear why the elevators/lifts were removed in the Grand Lobby? I can only think it gives a 'clean' look but they were useful.

Hi, I think it is to help give the Kings Court a Central area as I believe the central area is where the lifts used to be on Deck 7.

The Winter Garden may have been under-used, but I found that preferable to the overcrowded Carinthia. This embarkation appears to have been from the desolate Steinwerder berth which has, I hope temporarily, replaced Cunard's original and delightfully convenient place at Hafencity.

Why did they remove the grand lobby glass elevators to deck 7, they were a very nice feature

Just for information, there is no deck "13" on ANY cruise ship/ocean liner. It is "unlucky" to have a deck "13", therefore, the deck heading out on to the deck at the beginning of this video is actually deck 14. Next time you go into the elevators, I guarantee you will not find a button for deck 13.

The brochure is wrong. I used to work for Cunard. I have been on all 3 Cunard Queens, and there are absolutely NO Deck 13's on any of these wonderful ships.. I can GUARANTEE that.

I hate to correct people, but as I recently had a voyage on the QM2 in a stateroom on Deck 13 I have to say there most definitely is a Deck 13. My E-ticket showed our stateroom number as 13XX. The lifts at the "A" stairway have a button showing 13 and when the lift stops the number 13 shows above the door. Except for the few inside staterooms on the starboard side, the staterooms are classified as Britannia Club A2s. The deck plan in the brochure is definitely correct. The viewing deck above is known as deck 14, although I saw that reference only in one place. I should add there is now thick rubber on those Deck 14 walkways.

苑安雄, "remastered" in this sense means remodeled or refitted. QM2 was dry docked in 2016 and refitted.

What a shame I don't like the colours of the carpets. The Todd English has gone. The glass lift which look gorgeous has gone. Sorry I have to say that unless it was very poor photography/video what have they done to her. I loved Queen Mary and have been on all Cunard Ships including QE2. In my opinion Victoria is the best. The ship looks hard to get around and I have a mobility scooter albeit a very small one but the ship's restaurants look very crushed and tables very close together. We like a table for two but now there is only a foot or two between tables and I like my mobility scooter near me as I often have to leave scooter and park it somewhere too far away for me to get to. QE2 did this and the waiter drove the scooter at full speed with its bell ringing and flattened the battery.,

Remastered, remastered, remastered. They just love that buzz word don't they. More like rebastardised. The charm of the King's Court is gone, and doesn't reflect my once home away from home. It really sucks when they hire self absorbed designers with no talent or taste. I'll forever miss The Winter Garden, the uncluttered funnel views, the lobby lifts, and the La Piazza area of the King's Court. What a waste of money. They forgot the fuzzy dice.

The thing is... Nobody likes change, and when change happens, all hell breaks loose. This is how QM2 is now. There is nothing wrong with it... it is just not what you are "used to". Times change... Decor changes... in time, everything changes.

Yeah, so if they'd decide to paint over the murals on Queen Mary in Long Beach, you know the ones in the Veranda Grille, then that would just be "times a changin'" right? No, it wouldn't. I miss my Winter Garden and King's Court. Not going back.
