It's official art, but the artist (s) that made picture said it was purely fan art though for a while it was debatable. Still, even if this pic isn't cannon story wise, it doesn't mean they were not watching from Cyberspace or some other area. At least that's what i think, i mean how could X and the Guardians not watch the final battle unfold as Ragnarok fell?

If you guys didn't know, the sky that they are looking at isn't just the night sky with "alot of shooting stars", it's the pieces of Ragnarok in MMZ4's ending and judging about the clothes that they are wearing, they are in fact in the cyberspace like X meaning that they are indeed dead.

Yeah, but imagine if Rock, the original Megaman was in Cyberspace along with his siblings like Roll, Protoman, X, the 4 guardians and even Dr.Light(in AI form)? I bet they would be surprised to see their uncles and aunt so young. X would be very happy to finally see his family.
