Best thing you can do is hit that lab/practice mode and use all of it's incredibly helpful tools to find out what you are doing wrong, and how to punish the enemy when they do something wrong/make a mistake. I think the reason fgc channels struggle is because they talk directly to the tryhard community and refer to normal people as casuals. Just because you don't know how to count cards in a game of spades doesn't mean the game isn't fun and you are a casual. It's just a game afterall, something meant to be fun in your free time not another job. The truth is most fgc players are EXTREMISTS and are completely oblivious to the fact that they make up a very small minority of most games fanbase. But you let them tell it and they'll say their way is the only correct way to play: learn frame data, mixups, matchups, spacing, etc etc....but never promote fun. Because fun to them is being in those high level situations and they think they are Gods of the genre then they act like everyone else is mentally challenged for not playing like them. Maybe ppl actually want to live their lives instead of sinking ALL of their free time into one game so they can be "the best" at it with no real world reward outside of investing in tournaments and hoping you win. You guys have to start relating to normal people and acknowledge that they aren't casuals, you are no lifers, and that's fine but the delusion has to stop if the community is ever going to grow. Stop insulting new players and remember what you thought was cool about fighting games BEFORE you got good and wanted to test your skill. No, they will just keep poisoning fighting games by promoting that online is the ONLY way to play so new players first experience is usually getting destroyed online instead of them being able to develop their skills in single player before they go test themselves online. That's a recipe for failure and disappointment and very inconsiderate to newer players because we all know that creates salt and when you're not heavily invested in something salt makes you QUIT. Let fighting games just be fun again for a while and not "THE MOST COMPETITIVE GENRE OF VIDEO GAMES" and your channels will grow, or just keep talking to the 5-10% of players that are tryhards and stay stagnant. The choice is yours.
