This bass has got so much 'BALLS' it's almost impossible! It's got overtones, and undertones, and inside-tones, and outside-tones. It breathes, it's alive, it's growing, and it's dying...all at the same time. What a magical instrument...played by someone who really feels it.

I believe i heard something simmilar from Rob Scallon but i cannot pinpoint exact YT video in which that quote occured. I worked in a studio for decades and fretless bass is about the most boring thing to record. It's the same sound every time and if you dare suggest something different you find yourself in a religious argument.
