Something people dont talk about enoug in undertale yellow, is the sheer difference between frisk/chara and clover. Super martlet and ceroba are so hard in genocide for clover they make undyne and sans looks like a joke, yet in reality they only have 1850+850 hp and 1000 hp respectively. Genocide frisk would have literally cut through both of them just as easily as mettaton neo by the time they cleared out waterfall which I suppose is a way to explain in canon why they dont show up to stop frisks rampage, but you are not frisk, even going on an all out killing spree clover isnt able to muster nearly the power to deal out the insane amount of damage frisk/chara can, which makes these battles all the more interesting. That being said It would have been honestly really neat to see a confrontation between MTT Neo and clover, since he would have actually been able to probably fight the way he was meant to instead of dying instantly lol.

The difference is that UT shows inflated dramatizations of in-game stats, like Undyne the Undying actually has negative defense despite showing as 99 UTY just shows you the real stats, which are admittedly less impressive Honestly the numbers probably don't really matter, since Clover went from struggling against Zenith!Martlet (who the game shows as 25 AT/40 DF) at LV 19 to no-selling and one-shotting Asgore (80 AT/80 DF according to UT) at LV 20

@@shmoop6543 DT isn't some random powerup though. It doesn't determine how much more damage you do or anything. The only thing it's stated to do is allow human souls to persist after death, manipulate the timeline, and in rare cases(such as Frisk), refuse to die entirely. I think the easiest way of determining the difference between Frisk and Clover canonically is the first Froggit. In Undertale, you can oneshot the first Froggit before Toriel scares it away if you land a perfect hit. Meanwhile, Clover can't even deplete half of it's HP. Assuming it's the exact same Froggit, you can infer LV 1 Frisk deals about 2x the damage LV 1 Clover does.
