I played this game with my Dad before he left for Afghanistan. I miss those days. When he left my grandparents raised me and he was blown up by an IED. He survived but it changed him, as it would anyone. I hurt so much thinking of what could of have been but I am beyond grateful he’s here today.

The sheer number of hours I put into Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel with my friends is breathtaking. I still go back and replay it sometimes, but it's not the same without trying to figure out bounding movement while eating a slice of pizza while a friend tries to make his character into a look-alike of his favorite superhero. They were good times :) ... :| ... :( I miss being a kid.

I remember playing through both Army of Two with my brother, and every time we played other co-op games, we would spam irl the other person's name from AoT. My brother always played as Rios so i got Salem, every time we needed to be two to do something we would say either Rios or Salem continually until the other arrived. Kinda like Resident Evil. Sheva! My friend and I did a co-op playthrough last month by running AoT on the RPCS3 emulator, and then using Parsec to send his controller inputs to my PC. We had to use split screen, but if you played it with your brother as a kid like I did, that just adds to the nostalgia. We find that it aged like wine.

Although you can play any of two by yourself, it wasn’t made for that, it was made to be played with a friend, its mechanics are created specifically for coop, play it again but do it right this time

This year was massive in my life. Was going through a lot of depression. Meds and shit. But I was so into gaming. Reading up all the news every day, trying to save up for games, went to stores to always see what was new, etc. I loved it. The videos online too. Forums. Everything. And playing WaW online, getting MGS4 and sitting through the funny yet long installing. Long as GTA IV on PS3? Jist lots of memories. Trophies came out on PS3 that summer I think. Midnight Club L.A.

This game was so unique and innovative. I remember playing with my Dad all the time, no other games play quite like the AoT games. I loved that there was always something for you to do. Like when helping your partner climb a ledge he isn’t locked into a climbing animation, he can shoot anyone that would be waiting up there. When you’re knocked down you can still fight back. You can feign death at low health to trick enemies and save you and your buddy. It just felt like the devs really wanted you to have a good player experience and prioritized options and fun over anything else. More than anything, it incentivized co-op and playing and having fun together in a way that no other games do. There’s so much interaction between you and your partner that it’s easily one of the best co-op games out there. I’m still mad they never made the 40th day backwards compatible. The first game is really good, but the second one is such a great game it’s a real shame that it was never made backwards compatible.

What mad this game even better was the fact that in some cases you can deal with stuff befor hand such as the mission you parachute into the side of a mountain base as a heli takes off. If you can kill the heli you have killed a high priority target giving you bonus funds AND not having to hunt him down in later missions

My dad, who died roughly 5 years ago at the age of 46 from cancer, used to heavily play this game back when I was younger, me and him would always play different games together but something about this game stands out in my mind when I think about us 2 playing together… I’m not 100% sure why but everytime I hear or think about this game, it brings a smile to my face as it reminds me of the old days… fly high pops and hopefully one day I can enjoy this game once again.

Army of Two TFD was really fun, the way you acquire certain items by making certain morality choices, the combat was fun, and I remember more camos than I had ever seen in a game up to that point, plenty of weapons and attachments. Definitely an underrated game of the time

You'll first be like headless chickens due to not understanding how each other play, then learning to take advantage of aggro and where your ally prefers to be within the fight

This game had a huge spot in my childhood. From watching my dad and his best friend play it to me being able to play it with my brother and my best friends. Lowkey want to hop back in this game and the other 2. We need more games that focus on a co-op centric story game. With cutscenes that show each player. Not just drop in, drop out co-op where your friends aren’t even in the story.

My nephew and I use to play Devil's Cartel back in 2018 all the time but eventually we stopped playing in 2020, I even wasted my money on the other Army of Two games hoping he'll want to play again soon but he never did (he's grown up and got his own life). Now I have 3 Army Of Two games with two of them I never played and a 360 sitting in my room collecting dust because I play on the Computer mostly.

You know, thinking about it... they could have used that coop application that zanny used when he played with act man. Online features for army of two are out, but last time I checked, split screen still worked

Absolutely!!!!! I didn't get to play the first game but I got to play the sequel and loved it so much that I played so many times until I got bored since I've already gone through several new game+. I was mind blown by the amount of gun customization in the 2nd Army of Two game
