When I heard that Angus lost both of his brothers in 2 months my heart broke for him that kind of pain he must've felt was without a doubt unimaginable for him 😢

Legend has it... Malcolm didn’t pick the strings of his guitar, he just bounced up and down and used his dominion over gravity to make his Gretch strike the weapon between his fingers in time with the heartbeat of the universe.

Underproduced. Mutt Lange would have made it better. They canned him for Album. SMH. 83, 85 ,89 Albums didn't personify this great band. Something was missing with those albums. Material probably sound definitely

If Angus wants to put out an AC/DC album (Providing Brian,Phil and Cliff -if he decides to come back-) as a tribute to Malcolm by all means do so otherwise..it can't be AC/DC without Malcolm...

Some key facts about Malcolm is that he started AC/DC soon after departing from Velvet Underground (VU). After hiring Dave Evans as their new singer (also from VU), Malcolm asked his younger brother Angus to join the band after his band, Kantukee, had broken up. Angus joined and AC/DC was born with original members Dave Evans (vocals), Malcolm Young (guitar), Angus Young (guitar), Colin Burgess (drums), and Larry Van Kreidt (Bass). Malcolm and Angus both played lead guitar initially as Angus was not quite there yet. Check out "1974 Can I Sit Next To You Girl" on KZbin to see Angus playing lead. Malcolm was also the song writer for the band at that time. While on tour, Malcolm decided that he was going to stick to the rhythm guitar because he was better at it than Angus. He also decided that Angus was going to be band's lead guitar as a sort of 'show pony' or mascot. Malcolm truly was the driving force behind AC/DC. RIP Malcolm Young

I graduated high school in 1983 and the first time I had heard of AC/DC was Highway to Hell. Great cover track and a few good songs in there but a year later in 1980 Back in Black put them in the map. We all owned that album or cassette in the car and it was an album you can just play over and over again every song. There was not a throw away song in that whole album.

There's never any mention of why Malcolm got Alzheimer's so young because he had to leave the band in 2014 when he was only 61 and died 3 years later at age 64. I know some get dementia in their 50s but it is quite rare since it is more often the province of one's 80s that it is likely to occur.
@chrismorgan9153
@chrismorgan9153 2 жыл бұрын
Anyone can get dementia. Little kids, 30 year olds, 55 year olds. My understanding is Malcolm had it for quite some time before he was forced to retire. Angus used to run him through the songs before concerts, because Malcolm was forgetting them. It's truly sad, but it can happen at any age, unfortunately.
