love to see stuff on history i was born in 1979 but love to see older stuff like storms and floods and fires keep up the good work my aunt and mom was pregnant during the agnes flood

The guy who said "Get out now!" was none other than David DeCosmo. Check out Agnes at Fifty from WBRE & WYOU including the recently deceased Derry Bird. His interview on the 50th anniversary of Agnes was his final appearance.

My grandparents lived in Forty Fort. The cemetery was washed away.

And the bodys from there and the caskets would end up in homes and in the street. Imagine coming home to see a corpse on your water filled couch.

I was born in 1972 and still say to this day say "I was born in the year of the flood". Some people know what I'm talking about, most don't anymore, but they used to many years ago. 🤣

WNEP, Honestly You missed the Mark on this story. The Agnes flood affected tens of thousands of people in the Wilkes Barre/ Scranton Pennsylvania Area. It Was Life Changing History to the People Who Lived here and Loved the Area enough to Stay and Rebuild. A 12 minute and 4 second summary of your Morning News with photos and videos you could already find for yourself on KZbin is a very sad attempt to cover a Historic Event from Fifty Years Ago! So Very Sad!
