I feel that one category wouldn'tve been NEAR enough of a dedication to Alex's time on Jeopardy! If I was with the show then, I'dve dedicated an entire show, all 11 categories/61 clues, to him. A brave and beautiful soul, Alex will NEVER be forgotten. He did the work to make that happen, and lived a genuinely good life. < = )

Proud to call Sudbury my Hometown too & we knew Alex’s Aunt, one of his Mom’s Sisters. She was a hoot & a half & fiercely proud of Alex. She & my Great Aunt became BFFs after my Great Aunt had moved into an Apt on the same floor in a Seniors Apartment Building. We were on Vacation the year Alex came home for a Family Reunion & she brought him down to meet my Aunt Nellie. She always said she wasn’t sure who was more proud of seeing meeting : Alex w/Aunt Nellie or Aunt Nellie meeting Alex. 😁 As we were so close w/Aunt Nellie, we became close to Mrs. Bryce (as we knew her) over the years & she adopted us. She always treated me as another Granddaughter. I still have many of the Birthday & Christmas Cards & Gifts from over the years. She also gave us her Nativity Scene when she recieved one as a Gift. We still have it & treasure it. She was quite the Lady & we miss her. She was so very proud of her Nephew & Sudbury was beyond proud of Alex too. He is indeed missed. Thanks for posting this & doing it to remember him.😊

My father still lives near there, visited 2 summers ago and saw the mural that was painted of Alex, I'm told they're planning to erect a statue in his honor too, there's just a debate about where to put it.

Alex had lots of hardware tools and supplies around the house. He spent most of his free time fixing stuff up. He was quite the handy man. In fact, he even built his wife Jean her own bathroom.

Alex Trebek’s daily diet included foods like rice, broccoli (his favorite vegetable), bagels. I watch him as the host of Jeopardy! on Pluto TV. Sometimes it feels like he is still alive and still hosting the show. He may be gone but he’ll always be in our hearts, never forgotten. RIP Alex Trebek.

Basically since Amy, Matt and Mattea all got bye's straight into the semi-finals, this exhibition game serves as a warm-up since all of their opponents would have already played (and won) their respective quarter final

@@sarikachahal6188 In addition, a lot of people already knew in advance that many markets in the US would pre-empt their usual programming schedule on Nov. 8, 2022 due to news coverage of the mid-term elections, so they ultimately did this as something that doesn't affect the continuity of the tournament? I.e. You missed Jeopardy because your TV channel decided to cover the election? No worries, this doesn't affect the tournament, nobody won anything, and you'll still see all the semi-finals. But if you REALLY wanted to see the episode... well, the episode is on KZbin! So, win-win.

Oh, how I miss Alex Trebek. at the opening of the show when it now says from the Alex Trebek Studios, I make a heart with my hands and I put it towards the TV and that's just my little bit of showing my love for Alex. I grew up with Alex...actually I started watching Jeopardy prior to Alex Trebek. great show but I do not like Ken Jennings. I just thought I'd throw that in there but I love love Jeopardy

Oh chill out I very much like who jeopardy has much better its my girl mayim bialik not a very big fan of ken Jennings though but he s ok alex.s time on earth was over and I almost lost my beautiful lady mayim bialik 12 years ago due to cardiac arrest but thankfully she s fine now and if she needs me to help take care of her needs I am so ready for it because she is my girl and I think she s the best host jeopardy s ever picked up amanda Miller Rockledge Florida 😊😮😂

One of my favorite bloopers of his: Under Crossword Clues "M" the clue was "Mr. Magoo's malady (6 letters). Alex mispronounced as "M'lady". A contestant buzzed in and got it right anyway (myopia) to which Alex without missing a beat said "yes, it's the same MALADY I have." 😅

One mistake he sometimes makes is not explaining the category like if it’s a name category and Alex didn’t explain that they needed the first and last name, he may let the contestant get away with the last name.
