I'm crying. I'm a nurse (BSN/Masters) 4 year psych degree for 32 years, mother of three, one on the autistic spectrum with adhd. This story and the way he told it is so deeply moving. This right here is why you work in medicine, why you work to help others. My beautiful girl wants to pursue this school and become a physician. As a mother I have many reservations, but listening to this accomplished man and his humanity I can see my 5 sport athlete, EMT, who helped her autistic brother all these years being that kind of person. I'm so glad I got to hear this wonderful man speak about his experiences.
