I dont even follow this sport but my niece told me about him a few years ago and I was impressed by this bulls stats. Then I watched videos of him and kind of fell in love. RIP to the first bull that took a little piece of my heart.

I loved him from day - one. He was so unique and kind of turned into a wise old man in later years. If i was bull rider and drew him, sorry, I'd call in sick or say I couldn't make due to a flat tire. My hat is off to his owner and hauler. They took great care of a great bull. He will be missed.

I still have to give credit to Reindeer Dippin'. The speed that bull had was amazing. Same with Little Yellow Jacket and Boudacious... big, powerful, and tricky. But Chicken on a Chain is still in my top 10. Maybe top 5.

The fighters/clowns are the best kind of crazy. Rider gets tossed, they jump in and put themselves between the bull and him, in an instant, without a second thought. You often hear "it takes a special kind" to do that job, well to reflexively be that selfless and not naturally exhibit self-preservation... that's beyond a special kind of person. Most peoples instincts wouldn't allow them to do that.

I think most of us may not know the heart felt loss these stock contractor's feel when loosing an animal that has meant so much to them! I know they love and care for all their animals but some some do represent more than a average ah hah wow factor. Two great rides on Chicken I remember best was Justin McBride and Renato Nunes. He was such a big long athletic bull that was so cool looking as are most bulls. Glad I was around to see him at his best.
