"It was a thrill to play against Drazen. Every time we competed, he competed with an aggressive attitude. He wasnt nervous; he came at me as hard as I came at him. We had some great battles but unfortunately, they were short battles." Michael Jordan.

This guy was like the MJ in European basketball.. Could easily average 40 points a game and then came to the NBA and barely got playing time. Once he became a Net he showed people that he could score, average over 20 points a game I believe. Sucks that he died at such a young age, could of been one of the best players ever. RIP

Honestly, I do think he is better shooter than Ray Allen, he just didn't shoot soo many times like Allen did, but they are really close for me. But Curry is without competition.

Imagine his career starting in the NBA and having about 13~16 year career. No doubt that he would've been a player with: multiple All-Star appearances; a title of best shooter ever; likely mention as a second best shooting guard in the 1990s behind MJ (alongside Drexler and Miller); a possible MVP candidate; a definite mention as one of the greats to ever play the game; and possibly be able to come close to winning the championship (Conference Finals at least). But regardless of what could have been, I'm glad to have watched him play. He's my favorite player of all time.

I started watching Dražen when he came to Portland. He could easily back up Clyde at that position but yeah, sadly he got short minutes. But they were dynamite minutes. I was sad to see him leave for the Nets because Portland's bench just got weaker, but really happy for him because I knew he would have a chance to shine on another team. I liked hearing Clyde talk about the Blazers "Dražen watch" where they would all talk about watching his most recent game.

Petrovic led the nba in 3pts % from 1991-1993 he was like Curry before Curry. He was the first european star first guy who surprised ppl in USA. Remember in that time not even coatches didnt believe in euro players it was not like right now and talking about players Drazen had to go against dope. @russellrv 9 жыл бұрын
***** At that time you could not be a full time professional and participate in the Olympics which the U.S. were perfectly happy with as long as they were winning. As soon as they started losing the U.S. forced through the changes to allow full time players to participate and hence the "DREAMTEAM" was born.
@russellrv
@russellrv 9 жыл бұрын
It was only not fair when the US started losing. The majority of international players were still semi-professional or had to be fully supported by their governments (ie living in sports institutes). When the dream team went to the Barcelona games they hired out the whole hotel, every other team stayed in the village. You can't even compare them to each other.
