Franco Harris was football and will be missed. When you thought of football in the NFL, you thought of Franco Harris. Rest in peace God bless and condolences to your family will be missed!

This man was more than we know… as I am an older man and at 10 years old I saw something for the first time in my life. White men and women were claiming a black man as one of them!!! Franco’s Italian Army. At that time period and before if you were 1/16 black you were considered black. So as a young boy I thought not so Franco’s Italian Army. HE’S OURS!! But in all as I sit back and see the big picture it was a foreshadowing of things to come. STEELER NATION!! All colors shapes and sizes getting along living together at home and on the road for one cause, THE BLACK & GOLD. Christians should live in such harmony and focus!! (And they will and much more ❤️) So let’s thank this man and the rest of the 70’s Steelers for so much more than just being a football player that made the Best play in NFL history. He made the way for the GREATEST FANBASE IN NFL HISTORY!! Thank you Franco #STEELERNATIONUNITE #SteelersNation

@@lmargaret6342 that makes no sense. So you’re saying in Pittsburgh they would get upset over not winning rather than respecting a man who died? That’s crazy

Very sad at 1:30 when Franco says that after 50 years he's still around to enjoy it. He's obviously congested/ill during this interview. So incredibly sad that Franco passed away, especially the timing of it. He deserved to enjoy the honor of the moment of having his number 32 retired, which was only four days away. Franco will always be loved and remembered, not just for the Hall Of Fame football player he was, but also for the great man he was. Rest in peace, Franco. 🙏 🏈 🖤 💛

What Franco did for me. I am 73, I grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, a diehard Steeler fan. My Mom's family had immigrated from Poland to Pittsburgh, so being a Steeler fan was a natural. Life in Youngstown was hard considering the Browns were great and the Steelers sucked sewer water. I ate a lot of $hit from Browns fans twice a year. The Steelers were not bad, they were non competitive. Then came Chuck Noll, Joe Green, Terry Bradshaw, Dwight White, Lynn Swann, John Stallworth, Jack Lambert Rocky Beiler........................and Franco Harris. All of a sudden we didn't stink anymore, we were Super Bowl Champions, again, again, and again. I met Franco by chance, I was in the 82n Airborne in uniform and he was in town on business. I went up to him to introduce myself and thank him and the Steelers, instead he thanked me for my service! Franco thanking me, imagine that.

Thank you Cam, and thank you Franco (🪦) for doing this incredible segment. I really appreciate how at about the 34:00 mark, Franco explains why he ran out of bounds. He said he'd already moved the chains - why would he plant his knee for maybe another yard or two when guys are spearing at them? He instead went OOB at an angle where that would've been way more unlikely to happen. And loved how he went into his conditioning and always making sure he was better than the opposing player in the 4th quarter. Smart guy. Humble guy. Class act. Best of the best. That's why he's the first offensive player (and 3rd) in Steelers history to be having his jersey retired. RIP Mr. Franco Harris. The outpouring of love in the last 48 hours shows how much you meant to a whole lot of people. 🙏🥹
