My birthday. 19,11,68. Massive Joe Hill fan, maybe not the word. Admirer and hope for humanity, is more accurate. We need this man. NOW! But.. he never dies! He's in us all!

My mother and some of her sisters met and became friends Mr. Robeson. Gave me a love of his music and politics, that stays with me still. Miss you, you crazy lady!

We had that Paul Robeson record when I was a child.Thanks for this...very timely in this energetic new wave of organisation flowing around the planet. And a belated Happy Men's Day.

We had the Dubliner's version of the song growing up - thanks for the connections back to Connelly and Larkin.

Great video Bazzie Cullen. Thank you very much. Love the way it ends with the song from Paul Robeson. I used to live next to Paul Robeson Strasse in East Berlin.

Great historical piece. Song is lovely and soulful but Luke Kelly's rendition is super.

I never knew about this guy until I heard the Phil Oachs song about him. Real recognizes real.

He is from Gävle, not Gälve as is spelled on the map. 🙂 Yes, I have played in the small museum garden in Joe Hill-gården. It is impressive that he handled the English as good, as it was his second language.

Was there ever a time when the like's of Joe Hill was needed more than now? We have been sold down the drain by our " Labour Movement". It's amazing what sitting in the back of a Mercedes does to people. Shame on them. Tony

Even worse now. We have the richest man in the world, this Lex Luthor character, flying to space on the backs of his warehouse workers and thanking them for it. How about using taking the money that stroked a billionaire’s massive ego and brought back no science, and paying his workers a living wage with it?
@alexrayoalv6 ай бұрын
And it’s worse because the billionaires are fast trying to rob all leverage from the working class. Artificial general intelligence and universal robots are coming. OpenAI, Microsoft, Tesla, Amazon, Google, Meta.. They’re in a race to claim this pie at the expense of all others. Totalitarian cyberpunk dystopia?

Наёмные работники всех стран соединяйтесь! Не забывайте преступления буржуев, которые они совершали и продолжают совершать во всё больших масштабах. Теперь решили население перетравить выдумкой о "страшной болезни"!!!

If only the narrator had slowed down his delivery I wouldn't have given up on this half way through. Very difficult to catch what he is saying at times.

many musicians have murdered people. They are not immune from greed. if his alibi were true he would have revealed the details. He didnt because he had no true alibi

He didn't. He preferred to die a martyr. He's still an inspiration to labor activists.
