Remembering Paragon Park

We vacationed every summer in Hull visiting relatives and the night that we went to Paragon was always the best. I still remember realizing when I was around 11 that I could just walk or bike there myself and then forget it...I was there all the time.

Paragon Park ruled . . . that's all there is to it. Okay, maybe it was just another amusement park at a beach, but it was OUR amusement park at a beach. Too, too many great memories for me associated with this place. Thank you, Mr. Aronofsky, for posting this.

I worked there in 1984, its last summer of operation. Mainly running the Ghost Train and the Bermuda Triangle ride, though occasionally working the Tilt-a-Whirl and the smaller of the two roller coasters.

1966 I was 6 and my dad took me on the rollercoaster, there was a height requirement and I just made it, I pretended to be brave but I held that bar as tight as I could, especially that first drop.

This brings back so many memories. My family and I spent summers there since I was a child. I actually think you have a shot of my sister and I. Holy Shit! I grew up in Quincy, and I'm 40 now (born in 1980), I have a very vague memory when I was like 4 or 5 years old, and my mother bringing me there. Kids in Hull these days have NO IDEA how dope this place was! It's a sad story too. Hull is not the same, at all. That dope epidemic ran thru the South Shore and Hull. It sucks.
