I met Crosby after a gig at a club in Cincinnati . I was 19 , playing AA baseball at the time and he was more interested in talking about playing baseball than anything else ! He said he'd been a good baseball player himself and I believed him . He definitely had the size and strength of a pro athlete and I could tell from the way he spoke about it that he knew the game. I envied his gig and he was fascinated with mine so we had a cool conversation . I was sad when I heard he'd died

I remember the 87 tour. Denver Colorado, front row and Bobby threw me a thumbs up. Next thing I knew, a drum stick came flying through the air and landed right between my fingers as the a-holes behind me dog piled my ass and ripped it from my hands. Four more thumbs up and I finally got one. I now enjoy playing my drums, daily. Thanks for the memories Bobby!

What a great interview. I have been on a huge Ratt kick. To me, they are the coolest band. And Bobby Blotzer’s playing is so perfect. He is a team player but also dropped some of what I consider pretty advanced drum fills in certain songs. A lot of ‘modern’ metal drumming is easy stuff that is played fast, but Bobby’s drumming was never like that. He just played the fucking song and always made sure it rocked!

The same thing happened to Guns and Roses drummer Steven Adler. Like Steven, Robin's excessive drug use was impacting his ability to play live shows. I believe his death from a herion overdose was a result of his HIV diagnose and feeling that his bandmates and brother's had all but forgot about his contribution to the success of Ratt.

@@scottdunn2178 I agree, I’ve listened to that a few times. You could hear the loneliness in his voice. At the same time he admitted to his wrong doing, and knew he brought a lot on himself. But Ratt has never been the same without him, he was a fantastic songwriter and had a Great ear for melody

Listen to the EP - as Stephen says “Robbin’s all over that record” and he sure is. The quintessential rhythm guitarist, the whole attack of the early Ratt sound was in his right hand. Even his solos on there i liked, dirty, a little sloppy, but totally worked for the song (You think you’re tough) good example

I met all of them except Stephen after a show in 88 or 89. Robin was intimidated a bit by the fans. Warren and Juan were just exhausted but signed a few autos. Bobby was the typical rock guy, two girls inviting everyone to come in the hotel and hang got to the elevator and told security get rid of these A holes! Real douche move, but it didn't surprise me. I've met many. The only one worse was,....well, I hate to bring him up. I was Jake E Lee. For those two, I've met the best and none better than John Corabi. Mick Mars and Phil Lewis are probably a close second. The guys in the Crue were ok, Vince being probably the second decent in the band. Nikki was ok but came off fake. Steve Riley was great, dude RIP, another guy who seemed intimidated by crowds of fans. But Blotzer changed my whole approach to musicians. I met so many who had more respect for their fans. After that experience with Blotzer, I never gave another musician a pedestal. They all earned my respect. Their no different than me in my eyes. I just work hard for my money.
