They were so glammy, and such great musicians. 1985/86 looked similar, in some ways, to the Bolan/Bowie/Roxy Music/Sweet era of the early 1970s. Fantastic band.

I went to Japan as a high school exchange student in 2005. It would've been so fascinating being there in the 80s, when the high tech was mostly just in Akihabara, the night skyline was filled with neon, and the culture was still primarily Japanese. Going there later was great, but this is a true time capsule.

I have been a fan of Ratt since the early 80s and the one thing that stood out to me of anything that I saw was the makeup!! I did not remember all the makeup before but I am sure it was there... Even today at 54 I still like to crank Ratt from my car stereo quite often thanks to an ancient technology called compact discs.

Warren strikes me as a quiet guy, introvert who isn't a very good speaker. I admire him more now because I'm the same way, he's a big influence on my guitar playing.

It's to bad that they couldn't get along. The first two albums were good times, it seemed. But after that, everything went to hell in a hand basket! Robin Crosby had the world in his hands! But the drugs just took over! It really is a shame, because he was such a awesome talent!
@billbelzek67486 жыл бұрын
I'd have to agree --- "Out of the Cellar" and "Invasion of Your Privacy" were good 80's rock albums --- but after that it went downhill fast --- drugs and fragile egos will destroy any band
@kitoyobeni16 жыл бұрын
My favorite band of the era, and one of my first "favorite bands". I liked all their albums (until maybe the self-titled first reunion album), but Out Of The Cellar always stood out above them all IMO.

I just figured it out,remember in the video "You Think Your Tough" there's a very quick shot of Jake in that video,I mean it's less than a second towards the end of the song.I noticed none of the video's are on Pt. 1 or Pt.2 so that's why they listed him under Special Appearence.Oh Well Whatever huh.

@EncryptedGod I got your message that you had watched it. Juan's voice is naturally high-pitched (he sang on the high harmonies on Ratt's songs and you can get the full effect of his voice on his Liquid Sunday release) but he's not swishy. He was married and has two kids (not that it means anything necessarily but from what I know of him he's straight). I've had some exchanged with him online and he really is a nice guy.
