Worst case scenario: Trump nominates a replacement before the election, the election is disputed and this new conservative supermajority rules in favour of Trump. This will likely lead to riots and outbreaks of violence. If you're wondering whether that could be the spark for CIVIL WAR, there's a great analysis that looks into that: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5apZ2SCh76Ggc0&ab_channel=MyTake

@Soulnorthernmotown Soul is my life i wouldn't say 'easily', there's many reasons why it can be difficult to get birth control. Something like having clinics and doctors be far away, having them question you to the point where they won't prescribe it, if you're young, they could tell your parents (some who would be abusive). Also, to help with the 'easily', there should be free healthcare for (women's) birth control. Because if it's half and half like you say, some of those people probably aren't using birth control because it can get pretty expensive depending on where you are.

Also, 91% of aborted babies are in the first trimester, with the other 9% in the second trimester. Around 100 cases total in the US are in the third trimester, less then 1%. Are people really asking this? Even if there wasn't a documentary, they would have something to go right away. This is common practice. Whenever someone of note gets to a certain age or is diagnosed with a potentially fatal illness, they make these little pieces and keep them aside, periodically updating when necessary. Same thing happened a few months ago with Regis. I'm watching TV, all of a sudden there's breaking news that Regis just died followed by like a 4 minute piece.

A lovely tribute. I have written one also: Elegy for RBG An hour after you died, your face was already an icon with your trademark jabots surrounding your head like haloes: the dissenting collar, warning us when we were sliding into a Banana Republic; or the sunny yellow, crocheted by your clerks, for announcing majority opinions; or the spiky feathers for the portrait with Kavanaugh, when they called you a warrior princess. But your favorite, and mine, was the white collar from Cape Town. You wore it for Obama’s State of the Union addresses, rejoicing to think we were leaving apartheid behind. Now Etsy calls it Victorian lace and pearls. It was only a simple white crochet, but in memory I see a constellation for us to navigate in the dark. A spray of stars enough for every little girl to choose her own to wish on.

So in that sense RBG was a Saint 😇 God gives us all the freedom to do as we please. Whether or not there is a law allowing/preventing abortions, whether or not churches exist, whether people go to church and yet dont take it seriously....there will still be plenty of people aborting, going into deep depression, committing suicide, etc... with or without abortion laws. Most news channels make things like this for famous people before they died its nothing special they are called premature obituaries, they have been going on centuries. Fun Fact: Alfred Nobel's obituary was leaked after some new organizations had incorrectly heard that he had died when it was really his brother. After reading the obituaries and seeing how horrible of a person he would of been remembered as (because he created dynamite and other various tools of war) he created the Nobel peace prize.

So I stay neutral as far as the pro-life cause so I feel clean and moral. That is where the pro-life cause fails in becoming mainstream. Ginsburg’s point is that our Supreme Court would be perfectly competent with all women justices because women are just as capable - just as equal - as men. All American presidents have been men and most CEO’s of Fortune 500 companies are men. Ginsburg is saying that more women are able to be in high positions of power, such as the Court. Only 4 women have ever been Supreme Court Justices, even though it was established 231 years ago.

Which were substantially against her as history can attest, yet she somehow made it to the very top echelons of her field where so very few do. And even fewer woman at that. Add to that fact that as a woman her trajectory showed GREAT support for the causes of men, also leaves much to respect her for. In the end she was a human being who lived an extraordinary life, both experiencing and accomplishing more than most could only imagine or hope for, and leaving a legacy that only very few could. Her rulings were not always the best but that can also be said about the rest of the court as such views by their critics are just that, those of the beholder. And with each justice having their share of both fans & loathers alike. They have their opinions of each, as do both you and I, and the next guy. Neither will tip the scales of her legacy as being more important & substantial than the other. She was a great woman.

Yes, she was a big inspiration for me because we both come from a Jewish background. She had my dream life of being a wife, mom, and influential career woman all in one. I have decided that I’m going to name my future daughter Ruth. Have been trying to come up with a baby name since I was young but I think I have got it now.

@Stxr KillerX OK, I'll bite. How can the US be her host country if she was born here? What am I missing? * edit* Also, who are her people? It can't be just women, because she fought for mens rights as well. It can't be liberals because she also agreed on several conservative ideas. It would only leave non-Americans. Are you not American or an Ex-Pat?
