Idk I'm gonna miss old SMN. The new improvements maybe be good for most people but they should have taken into account the people who like DoTs, no rushing in as a mage, and want to work with their pet often.

The changes look way more like my cup of tea, I'm not a big fan of DoTs. But the real reason I'm considering maining SMN is because Larryzaur hypes it up so much. xD

@@maolcogi I hope you enjoy it. But meanwhile Square fucked me over by taking away everything I loved by SMN and giving me absolutely no other class to go play instead. Bard cant group target with DoTs. MCH cant single target with Dots. And no one can use pets the whole battle like SMN used to. I lost everything and gained nothing.

DoTs are just dps for lazy people. The vast majority of players will likely embrace a more active (and flamboyant) playstyle. If you delight in pressing a button and be rewarded a few minutes later so much, put the kettle on instead.

I honestly wonder if the relic got hit by Covid eating into their development time because of how they handled the job gear: having the Idealized sets as a reward for a 'bonus' EX is such a bizarre new way to do it that I feel like it probably wasn't the original plan. I could see maybe the original idea was you'd upgrade all your Weathered job gear through Bozja like you did with the StB job gear in Eureka, and you'd almost certainly have gotten a Shadowbringer stage where it had the glow from the trailer.

It wasn't about the journey or almost dying in Shadowbringers, it was about the friends we made along the way. I remember Shadowbringers was the first expansion I entered at its launch after starting late in Stormblood, and Shadowbringers blew everything else out from the water. Hopefully Endwalker, and I'm thinking it will, will live up to the hype. Goodbye Shadowbringers, you brought me tears, joy and fear all at the same time. And not just for the safety of the Scions.

Shadowbringer was my first step into FFXIV, I wasn't around for all the big patches prior but I was there patch 5.1 and beyond. This will my first expansion ever that I'll be there on day one with everyone else and from how wonderful the experience has been thus far, I just know I am going to love travelling through each zone with all my friends. These videos make me feel so nostalgic from going through the patches and doing my very first extreme with my free company. Larry really nails the feeling of dying in a fight but having far too much fun to really care about the little details (like your tank popping superbolide so they don't die when they drop a cleave on top of your head like the gremlin they are) Thanks for being so welcoming to other mmo players that were looking for a home and found it in this community. Warriors of Light and Darkness, I'll see you all on the moon. o7
