Chadwick Boseman who played James was raised just up the road from where I now live here in Anderson,SC.Great great young actor who is headed for super stardom for sure.James had some beautiful children who are very smart and wise.

ohh your father was a genius he is a real legend i remember when i was only 5 YEARS in africa senegal he came in senegal in early 70's i danced to his music get on up and mother's popcorn without understand any word in english but everybody loved james brown in my country and now i am 37 years old i listen him everyday for me he is the best musician of all times nobody cant touch him

James Brown my FIRST concert in Flint Mchigan at Whitting Auditorium and I can remember it like it like it was yesterday and it was 50 years ago but that was a wonderful thing to have experienced.

James Brown is in the elite group called the G.O.A.T. The only three that I can think of in that category are: The Godfather of Soul and the Greatest Of All Time..Mr. James Brown...Float Like a Butterfly..Sting Like a Bee..The Greatest of All Time..Muhammad Ali. The last one..some of you may not agree with me on this but: "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner"? The One and Only...Sidney Poitier! "I LOVE THAT MAN!! What's so sad about the filming of the Life Story of James Brown..is that Mick Jagger of the famous singing group known as the Rolling Stones put up $30 million dollars of his own money to finance the movie. Thank You Mick for seeing the value of James Brown. All of these wealthy black entertainers from Oprah Winfrey to Michael Jordan who grew up listening to James Brown and even got a lot of encouragement from his fierce determination didn't have the backbone to produce a movie about the original true.... "Godfather of Soul." What a crying Shame!!!!! Also...thank you Chadwick Boseman for doing an excellent job in portraying James Brown.
