Senna died during his transfer to hospital after the wheel and part of the suspension hit his helmet, causing irreversible damage to his brain, cervical vertebrae and temple, and Roland Ratzenberger was killed. at the time and that the announcement of the death in these two cases was postponed in view of commercial issues, the race had to take place at all costs and that in the stands when Alboreto's Minardi-Ford could have done more victims but still 5 mechanics injured

I feel like in our minds we love him so much we still keep him alive forever cause we still 30 yrs later hurt by the way we lost him. The perfect driver. The human being. I remember watching this race as a 14 year old. I loved formula 1 and Senna was my favourite racer at the time. I was saddened at Ratzenberger the previous day. When I saw him crash , I said I hope he will be ok. When I saw the helicopter, I was saying a prayer in hopes that he will make it and I knew it was serious. I was in tears when I watched the 8 o clock news and heard of his passing. I was in shock because he was a legend and he passed on. I was devastated. RIP to Senna and Ratzenberger.

I didn’t know how it’s still painful, after 30 years. We really miss you. 😢 What you have represented and have brought to our lives. Only those who love F1 since little children, have learned to like this sport in family. And love Senna. It is true after his death, we stoped a lot to follow the races. It was quite traumatic. The weekends , the Sundays were not the same after his death, anymore. Something has die with. Senna left something with us. But carry a lot of all together with him. New generation of pilotos could be better technically then him, but never like him, while human being. However, while people and pilots want to be like him, yes, his legacy is working. That’s his truly purpose in the Earth. May God give him peace and serenity to his soul and lot of light. 🙏🏻 Keep being source an inspiration. Always was for us, somehow. Senna, the unforgettable.

A really nice dedication to a very kind and caring but also very much misunderstood man. Ayrton was part of my childhood and I was 14 years old when he smashed into the wall at the Tamburello corner during the san marino grand prix. It was horrific but even after seeing the photos of the smashed William's in the paper the next day, i didn't know he was dead until i heard about it on the news, i just remember feeling a great emptiness inside me. I won't ever forget him, no F1 driver can be compared to him regardless of their driving skills and personality. Ayrton has left his own mark on the sport and no one can take that away from him. Rip Ayrton 🙏❤

@ 4:59. haunting image. Its like it was yesterday and I was watching the feed here in Canada on cbc or tsn. The camera feed was actually showing the view from inside Schumacher's car. When the sparks came out from Senna's car and he went hard right off the track. I remember saying to myself.. OH NO! they were both at peak speed going through Tamburello corner, I knew it was not good. RIP to the greatest driver that ever lived.

Touching tribute. I’ve never been interested in Formula 1 and hadn’t even heard of Senna until 2008….since then, everything I’ve read and seen about him highlights just how fascinating and magnetic he was. The only other personality (in my lifetime, so far) that had the same impact on people was Princess Diana- and she too died young and in tragic circumstances.

Ayrton Senna will never be forgotten. After thirty years, the world remembers with love this pilot who was the best pilot of all time. What differentiates a genius from a champion? A genius champion must do unexpected things. It must be an artist who brings something original. Senna turned his driving style into art. A genius must, when he least expects it, pull a card out of his sleeve. Him doing what he is expected to do, even if it is a fantastic, phenomenal thing, is not enough. It's not enough for him to do something that we saw he could do. He has to do something that we would never have imagined could be done and that we would never forget. Senna was like that. He did unimaginable, stupendous and magical things. That was his charm. Senna brought magic to F1. Hero? Yes! Who doesn't remember his heroic gesture when he stopped his car to save Frenchman Éric Comas who was unconscious but with his foot on the accelerator after the accident? On the track he was a phenomenon and off the track he was a spectacular human being who helped and continues to help millions of young people through the Ayrton Senna Institute. A man who loved his country and showed that "A son of Brazil does not run away from the fight". He managed to build a social phenomenon of bringing families together to watch his races together. He transformed formula1 into a sport that grandparents, parents, children and grandchildren learned to love. However, everyone gathered was not exactly to watch F1 but to support him, Ayrton Senna. He gave a lot of joy to his fans around the world. With him people laughed, cried, cheered, suffered and felt like champions together with him in each achievement. Yes, Senna was a social phenomenon. A legend that will be told from generation to generation. Something that will not be repeated in the history of F1. A huge thank you for so much and for everything you did for us, Ayrton Senna da Silva. RIP Roland Ratzenberger
