Got em on my 2DS and they were actually very good, despite having already played a lot the first 3 games on emulators, I always hear people say they're just bad copies of x1,2,3 but honestly they always quite different, even the first one, having the gameplay be so quick and strategizing your placement better to avoid hits do to the screen and the armors being kinda different made it also fun to traverse in a different way, even if the difference in xtreme1 was just that super wall jump it still was so much fun with just, and games felt much quicker than the original, also for the type of console it was made, the different difficulties or missions made it also fun to kinda test yourself or play more relaxed fast sessions, xtreme 1 had the hard mode which is kinda hard but also quick if you don't start from a save file and you start from scratch, or if you want a lengthy session you go for xtreme mode, which is quite hard, but you get to also use zero's moves, in xtreme 2 you had an armor for zero too, it was basic but in a way also better than black zero, better defense higher attack, and you could either challenge yourself on going solo on a faster session, or to go on xtreme mode with both x and zero, and you had also the boss rush, of both games where you could also use all weapons and chips, and tracks your time. The thing that made the xtreme games fun is actually the context, yes the originals are objectively better, but even if somehow you could play them anywhere, they are also much lengthier and kinda need a lot of time and planning for your playthrough that you need to actually focus well(aside x2 that made all bosses equally easy and a much freer route for collection) the xtreme games though, actually gave you much more freedom, despite often having more collectibles, and you could finish em quickly or even if you don't, your still satisfied, especially when your outside with your console, also the music, at least for me had many tracks that are even better than the original x1 to x3.

I'm excited to finally play Mega Man Xtreme 2 just as soon as I'm done with X2 and X3 along with Mega Man World 1-5. I'm still deciding if Xtreme 1 is even worth playing considering there is little new material.

I prefer if you want a solid GBA Mega Man X experience, then it's best you play Xtreme 2

@@Brianycus Xtreme 1/2 was on the GBC, but I also plan on buying the Zero/ZX collection soon. I have never played any of those games except Zero 1 which I gave up on immediately due to the insane difficultly. Truthfully, I never even played as Zero in any of the X games as I have never beaten X6-X8 so this will be a new experience learning to effectively play as him.
