I heard of the Ghanaian and Nigerian air crashes,My condolences to the families that lost loved ones in these crashes.The annoying thing about these crashes, is that as an engineer myself IT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED! Why? These CORRUPT local airlines within Nigeria and Ghana will buy 3rd-hand useless aircraft from at times Eastern-bloc nations that have a 'dodgy' service and maintenance record and pocket the money thus risking the lives of those using these flights

Sahara Reporters. Kudos for the memorial. Every progressive society takes notes from its failures and works to avoid them. I hope Nigeria's authorities will do the needful to ensure that this needless tragedy does not repeat itself. In less than one decade, close to 600 individuals have lost their lives in plane crashes in Nigeria. Enough of the carnage. May the souls of the departed rest in peace.

Its the reason why I will never play "Russian Roulette" with my life flying from Lagos to Abuja or Port-Harcourt or Accra to Takoradi in Ghana.Its NOT SAFE!. To learn from this, is that the Nigerian or Ghanaian govt should invite tender from ESTABLISHED airlines in the West such as British Airways to run these internal routes with NEW AIRCRAFT!.The first priority of any govt is to protect its citizenry.

Yep but you can't put people in peace that's GOD'S JOB, according to his words and their life,oh so many people, children father's husband sister all because of the pilot's fault

Please do not blame the pilot. His colleagues in America had the same plane fly low over their work place to honour him because he was one of the best pilots to fly that particular plane. There's a whole lot of corruption in the Nigerian air space. The pilot's job is to do a check list and fly the plane, he doesn't fix the engines. To cut cost, most engineers fix engines from scrap planes to new planes as long as it works and then they share the profit. GOD will judge who ever is responsible for this crash.
