Remembrance Day 2021: Canada Remembers | FULL

Federal officials including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, dignitaries and veterans commemorated the sacrifices of Canadian war dead and veterans on Thursday at a Remembrance ceremony marking the anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
Remembrance Day in Ottawa saw the return of crowds gathered at the National War Memorial after a year of virtual observances amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thursday’s ceremony was out of order in the traditional sense, where the national anthem and Last Post, which traditionally signals the two minutes of silence, did not happen until after the two minutes. The Prime Minister and Governor General Mary Simon both arrived later than originally planned.
According to a statement provided to Global News from Veterans’ Affairs Canada, the delay in the arrival of the Prime Minister and Governor General was caused by a potential security risk.
Two minutes of silence was observed to remember the sacrifices of Canadian military members at 11 a.m. ET.

That she can resolve as transmitted to me by Mr.Morin in charge of supplying the information of the filter that must be passed to send correspondence to the Governor General. Assuming the questions being asked are in good faith: the Governor General wears a military uniform to military parades because as Vice Regent, she is the head of the military. The PM and GG were late due to a security concern, and did not interrupt the moment of silence, as the ceremony did not start until their arrival. The moment of silence took place, as usual, between the Last Post and the Reveille. The 21 gun salute and fly past took place on schedule, which is why it appeared they were arriving during the moment of silence.
