Shhh. Let’s pretend present season’s final quest didn’t just dropped. I hope you like this overdue recap. This one took twice as long because it went through a lot of changes. I made two versions in the end. You’re looking at version 2.0

This was my first season and somehow, only at the very end when I watched them fly away, did it truly hit me that they're spirits. That I was cheering up and comforting people that no longer existed. Last quest felt like a fresh start for them but... 😢😭

Yeah, it was a similar experience for me in Season of Abyss. I was like, hey, they finally got their wish… and then they ascended, and I realized… *I* was never there, and *they never got their wish.*

What surprises me is that animated concept the devs released takes place when they were still alive.

Perhaps they get that start in the afterlife, or orbit. I like to think of Skykids as Part time grim reapers. The job of a grim reaper is not to kill people but to help the dead heal from their past whether it was a big regret, getting something they never had, and move forwards and find a way, even when there are no chances in the living world. Once they have moved forwards, they can still visit the living world any time they like, hence the Traveling spirits, but that afterlife will always be the home for them (Unless reincarnation happens in that case it means they are ready to become something new which is also cool by me).

Season of remembrance will always have a special place in my heart. On first day of season, my dog sadly passed away. It hurt so much. And what's ironic, is this season is about grief and recovering from loss of someone you loved. So, in a way, this season helped me be able to mourn and process the loss of my dog. So, helping these spirits, I felt like i was able to help myself too. ;-;

With the current TS group, it tugged on my heart strings watching Pleading Child play and dance with Modest Dancer in the Village of Dreams.

This season, of all things came around during a dark time for me… The pleading spirit made me think a lot of my mom. When I was vary little, we played with stuffed animals/plushies before I went to bed. Then there's the Tiptoe spirit, whose memories hit me like a freight train. During this season, my mom was battling Pancreatic Cancer, which eventually took her life. Despite that, I still appreciate the season as well as Sky in general. I've been a fan of the lighthearted nature of these animations for a while, and this fits the season so well. Keep up the good work!

This was my first real season I've experienced (I played since aurora but that was more of a concert if anything) and I honestly let out a few tears by the end of it. The season talks about loss and grief, how we feel alone when we lose those closest to us. But when they find closure and they move on to meet each other they learn to interact and live with one another: to comfort each other. This season talks about *found family.* Loss is a terrible thing, but it brings people together to create a community, _a friendship,_ *_a family._* That final cut scene still hits hard fam.... QwQ) _It still hits hard TwT)_

I loved this season wholeheartedly, it felt so experimental in the writting department, but also very fresh. I love a good story and the fact that finally they explore sadness not like an abominable sentiment you must reject even in art and games, but like something real you can go throughout.

This season made me so sad that I only relived the memories, didn't do any quests, and immediately entered major burnout. I started playing again about two weeks ago and I've caught up on everything I missed BUT Remembrance (and Aurora which I briefly returned for and thus didn't miss), I'm gonna try to tackle it tomorrow

This was the season I started playing at. It hooked me on the game as it showed it could tell a story without needing dialog and it could still be impactful. Sure I was bummed I missed Aurora before this season, I wouldn't trade it away for it though.

Yes, that was Sky's saddest season yet. And it hit harder after the Aurora season ended. T_T But at least after trying to cheer them up and seeing that they finally ascended, it made me feel happy that they could finally go with their loved ones to the afterlife. By the way, 1:35 that was my reaction when I finished the Little Pince season. T_T But I loved a couple of fanarts where the imploring child interacts with the Little Prince and the Warrior of love. 💖✨✨

my first seazon would be performance but i couldn't figure out how sky worked so this was my first actual seazon (': im so mad that i missed shattering and its krill cape and the owl hair aurora blue wings and a bunch of other things so i started sky with emotional damage from remembrance and then got emotional damage for missing all these cool stuff
