Remington 12 Gauge 3” 15 Pellet 00 Buck - Breakdown

I finally have amassed the necessary components for lead refinement and casting, scored a Marty’s .690 round ball mold for $80 and also got a Lee 18 pellet #00 buck mold on the way. The only other thing I really want at the moment is a tumbler to graphite and polish the buck after casting.

You don’t need graphite man just a tumbler. The graphite will only cause them to be dirty and get your hands black when touching them.

Damn bro, bet you won't forget to push-pull that next time. Push forward with your support hand as hard as you can while keeping steady. Twist/torque the it in your hands like a rag, wringing it while trying to tear it in half, adding even more isometric stabilization.

@@Kinetic.44 what we do for recoil management is take the proper stance, pull forward with your off hand, and just rest the gun on your shoulder not too firmly but secure. Don’t try and fight the recoil, just let the gun do what it wants to do. These 3” loads are nothing compared to stuff we shoot now.

Plating does almost nothing, it's so thin like foil... Hard cast alloy is what what you're looking for.

Any shotgun slug would lose most of its energy at those ranges. Not really feasible to do that.

All shotguns are generally 100 yard or closer guns but with modern optics and slugs 200 is possible
