Cool, very good job on the hand loads and shooting. I'm considering getting a .243 just because I don't have one. I have a 6mm Remingtion that my uncle built many years ago on a Mauser 98 action. I reload for it as well and love having a nice round like that. Good luck on the ground hogs. Looking forward to the future videos.

What loads are you running in your 6mm remington?

@@jacobstates8583 I think I may have some Remington core-lok that I bought so 20 years ago, but I've always reloaded for it. In fact I've worn the brass out from reloading so many times. I've since bought 120 rounds of new brass to reload some more. Anyway the load is 46 grains of IMR 4831 with Speer 100 gr boat tails. I have used some Nosler ballistic tips too also 100 grain. It has been at least 30 years since I've reloaded for it so I think there are likely some better combinations these days.

To the 243 and 6 mm Remington owners if you want faster 6 mm or your rifles throat might me showing wear then consider rechambering to the 6mm - 284 win by buying the reloading dies from Redding dies and chamber reamer & chamber gauges from Pacific tool & gauge. I have a Remington 722 and an AR 10 both are chambered in 6mm-284 that is absolute amazing in killing varmints to big game and big as Yukon Moose in Alaska I have killed with the 6mm - 284. The speed of the 6mm-284 can match the 257 Wby magnum

Those are some impressive advertised speeds. What kind of accuracy are you getting?

@@jacobstates8583 AR 10 using a Pac Nor super match 26 inch barrel can push 100 grain 6mm bullets at 3900 FPS and 58 grain bullets to 5100 FPS . I have a Remington 722 in 6mm - 284 win that was the first 6mm - 284 but the 24 inch barrel I've never done any testing for bullet speed. Both rifles depending on types - weights of bullets the worst groups at 100 yards is 1 inch and the best groups can be a 1/4 inch hole. The AR 10 in 6mm - 284 used on Coyotes in open fields or sage brush lands have no chance when in packs with the speed of loading the AR 10 does and no recoil. Add the speed of 58 grain bullets is like a laser on the dogs. I own all my chamber reamers and go - no go chamber gauges. The brass I buy is from Peterson Brass in 6.5-284 so going from 26 cal to 24 cal is so easy you don't feel anything at all when sizing brass down to 24 cal. Redding dies has the 6mm-284 dies as a standard on the shelf item. Jay at Pac Nor can use my AR 10 barrel CNC data to make anyone the barrel for AR 10 at $350.
