Thank you for a great video. The 260 is far better than a lot of people realize.

That's a very nice rifle in a great mulie and pronghorn cartridge! A buddy of mine bought the same rifle in 260 Rem from a gun seller in Lubbock who was selling firearms that were part of an estate sale. The rifle included a really nice Zeiss Conquest rifle scope, and he was able to purchase the set for less than $1,400. He worked up a load using 129 Hornady Interlocks and brass that came with the rifle and gets 5/8" groups at 2865 fps. He plans to use it to hunt pronghorn in Colorado this fall, and I am willing to bet it will more than do the job.

Beautiful Rifle you have there. I got the Remington PCR chambered in the .260 last year while I could still get one. I changed out the Magpul stock for a MDT Skeleton Carbine stock, installed a Whitt Machine Sound Mitigating Muzzle Brake and mounted a Burris RT-25 5-25 X 56 on it. It now looks more like the PCR Enhanced model which Remington didn't continue the .260. caliber in.🤨 I also found a 10 round clip for it. Wonderful gun. Everytime I take it to the range, people just stop and direct their attention to it. Now, if I can only get deadly with my groups, LOL.

I love mine which is in .270 Win. I replaced the stock with a CDL wood stock ( still have the original) . I had to do a bit of a cut out for the DM. I do not know if you ever found magazines? I ended up purchasing a few off Ebay. They are rather expensive now with the sale of Remington and the civil unrest and Covid. Everything firearm related has gone up. These are nice rifles and I have to correct what so many say about these DM models having magazine issues and feed issues. I have NEVER experienced a problem with mine at all.

AWWWW LAWD! So much can be done to this rifle, It's insane the options sold for the 700. I know for a fact you would have no problem locating a wood stock for it if you were determined to go down that road. And that 6.5-08 A-square round is a bad dude and very accurate. My boss was a Lt. Col. Ranger for the Army and his competition rifle was Rem700 in .260, it is scary accurate.

That rifle looks damn near immaculate! She's a peach! I'm a metal and wood guy myself so I understand your plight for a wood stock lol

260 shoots same weight bullet as 6.5 creedmore at 250fps more and both use short pull bolts. I don’t understand why creedmore gets more recognition and use. The round is good for an extra 100 yards over 6.5 creedmore

I too have always wondered why the 260 never really took off but the 6.5 Creedmoor has.

I think the lack of marketing for 260 rem is why it didnt take off.

The Remington 260 has a 1-9 barrel twist and the 6.5 CM has a 1-8 twist barrel which gives it the ability to shoot heavier bullets. The Remington 260 for the most part will not shoot the heavier bullets as well as the CM.
