When my 19-y/o abandoned me and left for college, I sent with him 15 meal prep containers, a rice steaming machine (under $30, you can steam rice and chicken simultaneously, etc.), and some seasonings he wouldn't think to buy. A rice cooker is by far one of the best investments for young adults away from home.

Buy bulk bag of mixed veggies lasts two weeks and bulk rice. Next meal is post workout shake. Final meal chicken with veggies and rice. Under $50 a week buying everything in bulk.

Rem, great as always. The meals make it simple to stay on track with little or no thought. I always felt meal prep for several days would be a pain in the back side. You have made it simple. Did my first chick breasts in the croc pot yesterday. put them in at breakfeast, the first serving at lunch and dinner, and got through all today. SIMPLE

Seriously. the average person can't afford $80 a week for food. the average person would probably consider $80 per month for food living the high life.
@nightstalker5820037 жыл бұрын
I understand that but just the fact he said $80 a week I didn't want to say something like $25 which is much more realistic for most college students but for good quality nutrition it's difficult.

I actually do that every week and I'm in my 4th year of college. Focus more on needs than wants! I create a list prior to going to the store and use the weekly ads to only buy whats on sale. Smart n Final ALWAYS has low prices!

I'm a construction worker, Im always way to tired after work to cook anything so I typically cook all my meals for the entire work week on a day off I have (Sunday). When I'm working I typically eat as much as possible during lunch and I'll snack whenever I have any kind of downtime weather it's waiting for materials or whatever usually there is some kind of downtime for a short period of time. As well as I have a bunch of freezer packs In my lunchbag to keep it cold. The only thing I cook through the week is breakfast in the morning and that's it.
