For whatever it's worth, I just finished reading Erik Larson's 'The Splendid and The Vile', which I cannot recommend more strongly! The whole time, I was seeing, in my mind's eye, Gary Oldman's portrayal of Churchill.

Gary Oldman is OUR generation's Lon Chaney (Sr) and should be cast as the legendary "Man Of A Thousand Faces" in a reboot of the biopic of the same title, where James Cagney played the role of the late Chaney in the 50's.
