The first time we had to replace the chord on the Remis blind fly net on our Pilote P740c and it was an eye opener. In the end though it wasn't too tricky. You just have to be methodical and it all comes together.

Thanks very much for sharing this. The white part of my blind had broke. Watching this video helped to understand how the thing works so I could then fix it with some new cord. Thanks Again!

We watched your excellent video and repaired our identical broken blind, Thank you for your vid, it really helped. BTW not Remis, it's Horrex Duo Plisse brand.

Great video buddy you made it look easy lol … I have a dometic panoramic skylight I need to fix the fly screen on which I’m hoping it’s the same process One thing I’ve noticed looks different to yours is I have plastic strips that slide out on those bars the fly net slides in to either end I no you say look at the old strings but in my case I bought the van like this 😂 so nothing to follow Trying to find someone to replace or repair in Yorkshire is hard bloody work too So trying it myself . I may have to drill holes in those strips I mentioned that keep the fly mesh locked in the runner bar

Just replaced one of mine this morning using 1.5mm cord, it is easy once you have done it. Many thanks for the vid :-) Mine was caused by the net and blind cord being wrapped around each other and thus fraying over 2 years !

Great video. Feared having to buy a new one. Ours is the door, but I'm presuming its the same principle just a bit bigger. Thanks guys :)
@TheMotoroamers3 жыл бұрын
Hi Gloria, yes it's the same principle just different, LOL. There isn't 1 string it's 3 seperate ones. 1 for the bottom third, 1 for the middle third and 1 for the top third. If you follow the same principle for the bit that's broken you can leave the other 2 strings in place. Loadsa patience, loadsa pictures as you go and as long as you don;t have pesky morroccan salesmen wanting to sell you everything possible whilst you're concentrating you'll be OK. Let me know how you get on. Myles

Ah, I tried our door. Granted I had moroccan salesman trying to sell me everything under the sun at the time but cocked it up completely. LOL. Bought a new one.

Same thing happened to me but on the white 'blind' part. I watched your video but got a little confused on how the cord went. After investigating my own blind the fog lifted and it all became clear. I even video'd it. and you can see it at kzbin.info/www/bejne/gH-UYn15od2Xd5Y. Tensioning was the trickiest part though, as you will see.
