please make more Star Force mixes, the OSTs for those games are amazing and the series itself was way too underrated.

Your remixes, they're simply amazing. The Star Force trilogy is extremely underrated, and seeing people giving it justice warms my heart. By the way, may I make a... "few" requests? Star Force 1: Dust Crash, Dream Island, Final Battleground, Last Battle Star Force 2: Wilshire Hills, Melody of Isolation (Rogue's theme. I have a feeling I got the name wrong.), Wave Square, Sky Wave Star Force 3: Go, Satella Police (Real World), Spade Magnes and Dread Joker stages, Rivals Unite, Black Hole Server Whichever you do or can do is fine. Sorry for a huge list, but I'm a huge fan of the series and would love to see more from you!

The theme could be better. The original is what I love is that you are facing a boss that you would not beat. This sounds way off than the original and I know it's a remix but there is no danger in song here.

Godly remix. And I don't even like Star Force (Battle Network for LIFE!).
@TurtleTitan038 жыл бұрын
Why not both? I played Star Force after being hesitant due to the change from the BN games and ended up loving it, even more than Battle Network itself, The storytelling and writing was given greater emphasis and it showed, While BN characters mostly remained the same throughout every single game in the series with little to no development, Star Force's cast grew more and more as the games progressed, the Characters were given actual depth and realistic development. The story itself went to darker, deeper, more emotional territories I never expected to see in anything Mega Man, and pulled it off well, It wasn't too dark like Mega Man X or Mega Man Zero, or too silly like Battle Network or Classic on occasion, I admit Star Force 2 is a huge exception to a lot of this, but even that game has it's moments with storytelling. The Battle System in Star Force went in it's own direction and I applaud it for that, and it was a lot of fun too, It was far more accessible than the battle network titles, and emphasized aggressive speedy play, and fighting in the moment rather than stressing focus on patience, planning ahead of time, and field management like the BN titles before it, it felt closer associated with a level of speed and energy that most traditional Mega Man games have, It may not have been as methodical as Battle Network, but it was still deeper than most games out there, and it felt like it's own beast. The grid layout was done to make battles faster, take advantage of the DS' 3D capabilities with a new perspective, and lastly it balanced a rather overpowered new Mega Man against his enemies. Mega Man's row of movement is similar to Little Mac's dodge options from the Punch Out!! series and honestly you're given more than enough options to cover this, I can see it being problematic for those straight out of Battle Network, but it's possible to adjust and have fun with it, especially when you learn to accept that Star Force may be a successor to Battle Network, but it isn't a sequel or clone. The series had a couple other tweaks, additions, and improvements too, spritework had greater detail and more frames of animation, Maps were more intuitively designed, brotherband was pretty innovative at the time(and sort of still is.) etc. Sorry if this came off as an attack on you, I didn't mean for it to be, I just feel like the Star Force trilogy is too underrated and too overlooked, and part of this is because Battle Network fan's often dismiss the series for not being like Battle Network, rather than judging them based on their own merits, and I just don't think it's the most justified way to judge something.
@senhordesconhecido62908 жыл бұрын
+Shaolin Turtle To be honest, I've only played Star Force 1. I didn't like it that much because : A-) The battle system; I still can't understand why they took such a simplistic route.In Battle Network, you had shields, counter and "teleport" moves(basically everything that Star Force's MegaMan could do), and you could still move forward during battle!) B-) The story; although you said that Star Force's plot is way deeper than BN's, I didn't find it deep at all. I remember being a bit surprised with the plot twist involving Omega-Xis' birthplace, along with the scene in which MegaMan powers up after almost being crushed by a giant Jammer. Aside from these two moments, I found the plot to be very forgettable ( to me, it seemed like something out of a generic shonen anime). But I admit I can't properly judge the story, since I only played the first title. And I never found BN's story to be goofy, it had great characters, and a handful of epic and emotional moments (ShadowMan's attack on Yumland, "You can take your offer, AND SHOVE IT!", Bass' arc, Mr. Match's attack on Scilab, the entire ending sequence to BN3, JunkMan's scenario, the majority of BN5, Chaud stealing the show during BN6, and Lan's conversation with Baryl at the Underground, are more than memorable moments), just because a story is filled with impossible fantasy, doesn't mean it is goofy. If that was the case, then Star Force's plot (with its radio wave surfing aliens) would be beyond goofy. And don't worry, I know that you're not trying to offend me or anything. And by no means I'm saying that Star Force was trash or something like that. I don't regret having played Star Force 1, it had a good soundtrack ( Cygnus Wing's stage theme is better than 80℅ of the BN OST), and its gameplay was never a chore.I just found it inferior to Battle Network. If someone can ever grace the Android system with a decent DS emulator, I will surely play SF3.
@Reese10108 жыл бұрын
senhor, i really recommend that you play starforce 3 (i know you already said you would on some terms) but its a far more memorable game in terms of plot, and the gameplay is by far the best in the trilogy. and while i personally agree with shaolin, since i prefer the sf series over bn, both of them have good and lacking aspects - while starforce's battle system may not be your cup of tea, the 3rd game is FULL of great music, designs, and character development. if you have a computer, please take the time to emulate it and give it a try!
